The Tuatha Alliance System Gets An Overhaul In preparation for New Worlds' release and a sudden interest in our Tuatha alliance program, I spent some time this month bringing our Tuatha up to modern-day tech and gave the thing a facelift. It's now easier to get involved, and the clan pages look and function much nicer. These clan pages will end up replacing the old Warparty pages in adventures and will be one of the ways we will help subgroup members within a game.

Our Children's Charity Event Get's A New Name Sooooo. Apparently, Penn State University thought it was in their best interest to trademark the name ForTheKids. A hashtag we've been using to promote our charity event for 11 years now. Extra Life provided us notice that they can no longer endorse our event and promote it if we continue to use ForTheKids due to trademark law.

Sadly I Must Cancel the #FightLikeAGamer Charity Event A few of you may have heard, my wife is undergoing treatment for Lyme disease. This includes a regiment of over 40 pills and supplements a day and the common side effects we've already experienced are seizures, irregular heart palpitations, passing out, vertigo, body tremors, and the loss of the ability to move or speak. It's required a lot of my time to help keep our house in order as she can not exert herself without going into full seizure mode. Even climbing the stairs feels like scaling Everest.

In Loving Memory of: Wyld Frostwych (1956-2020) For those of you who joined us for Elder Scrolls Online early on you may remember Mary (Wyld Frostwych) Whitt (McVay). Her and Arsnocte were friends since their time in Second Life and he regrettably passed on news of her passing. Not much was known about her passing just that it happened. Farewell to Les Foley The First Gaiscioch As many of you know, I founded this community as a way to honor my heritage and the upbringing my two grandparents brought me. This past month my Grandfather went to be with his loving wife in heaven. Married for over 65 years he has lived on for several years after my grandmother's departure. While I will miss him dearly I know that he still lives on at the very core of my being. Looking back it's safe to say that he was the first Gaiscioch that passed his torch to me. His commitment to the community and helping random strangers inspired me to create Gaiscioch in the first place. I will do my best to carry on his kindness and compassion and bring it to the world. Rest in peace Grandpa.

New World Preview Event Launches Aug 25th Join us for the first major test of the guild system as we hit the New World Preview hard. We will be holding a community rally on Wednesday, Aug 26th to try to get the guild formed up and stuffed with as many people as possible. It's our hope that either we verify the limit is indeed 50 or we shatter that rumor and strive for the real cap. Identifying the guild cap will help with our plans for next year's launch.

Farewell to Rhynor This past month we lost a dear friend to colon cancer. Rhynor joined us during our return to RIFT in 2016. She quickly landed on our Elder Watchlist as she was a very compassionate and supportive player who spent most of her time helping others or the community.
