Gaiscioch Community News September, 2015
- PAX Prime Gaiscioch Celebration New Time!
Join us at Fado's Irish Pub for a pint on August 30th at 9PM PT. We had to push the party back an hour due to a schedule conflict. So far the head count is between 10 and 20 people depending on how many of the "I'll try to make it" show up. If it's your first time at Fado's, the prices are in the $10-$20 per plate range, however they have several appetisers and a ton of beer on tap. I highly recommend the Corned Beef and Cabbage. Best i've ever had. Be ready to take a family picture while we're there and you'll have a chance to peek at our family album and sign our guestbook :D.

- Call to Arms: Shards Online
My good friend Derek Brinkmann has approached me about helping with an upcoming stress test. I need to summon an army. I will have an undetermined number of Alpha keys to be able to pass out to players willing to help on September 12-13th. This is a 2 day alpha test and we'll need to put in a few hours that weekend and send in some reports and feedback. This is not a play before you buy type thing. It's a lets help build a closer bond with game developers type thing so in the future doors of opportunity like this one open. Remember the only reason people like Cryss from Aeria, David Bass (formerly) of Carbide, Derek Brinkmann, Matt Firor, and Scott Hartsman have called on us in the past is because of the work and reputation we have shown when they worked with us previously. I am aiming for at least 50 Gaiscioch in the waiting.

- The Evolution of the Elder Role
For years we've kept 1 Elder per active 100 people. As our population has reduced since we began playing games that limit population we've decided to up this to 1 Elder per 50 people. This gives us more coverage per elder and keeps our current elder team intact.

- Welcoming 2 New Elders to the Team
Verve will be joining our Elder Scrolls Online Eldership team to help me manage the adventures in the game to keep them updated with all of the new content getting introduced into the game. His dungeon running expertise has been a godsend over the past year and lead me to promote him as a family commander for ESO. After watching him for several months we've decided to bring him onto the team to assist with the management of that side of the house.
Smitty has been nominated and selected to join the Guild Wars 2 team to assist Soren and I with promoting Gaiscioch over social media channels, livestreams, and participate in public appearances. He will also be joining the new player integration team, making sure all of our new players understand how things work.
- At The Gates of the Imperial City
Here comes the Imperial City! The moment we've been waiting for, for quite a while, is finally here. My Thursday events will likely focus on getting us inside and exploring the depths of the Imperial City. Looking forward to sharing those adventures with you.

- The Little Bird Returns
Rumors travel fast, so I wanted to take a moment to set some of your minds at ease. Yes, we are below 250 members, and yes it's going to get increasingly more difficult to keep the members we have as it will be harder to find groups, tougher to connect with the few that still play, and even more difficult to make an impact in the world on a public level. That said, there are no plans to close the Elder Scrolls Online branch at this time.

- Heart of Thorns Release Date?
This week marks the one conference a year where ArenaNet has home field advantage. Over history this is a very big conference for them. I would not be surprised to see a date drop at PAX Prime.
- New Family Commanders for September 2015
This month we'll be welcoming JayRF and GmaFog/Humble Misty to the Family Commander lineup. There are several up and coming commanders we plan to work with in the future and we'll likely see a couple more added next month. Both JayRF and GmaFog have been hosting events open to the public for our family and have acted as a Gaiscioch Commander should. As always our commanders are hand picked based on leadership ability, compassion, and most importantly patience. These two have shown these traits in bulk over the past few months and we are proud to welcome them to the team.

- Fog's Side Quests for September 2015
This month I'll be focusing my extra curricular activities on Gloria Victis, Chivalry Medieval Warfare, Wildstar, Star Wars Old Republic, Allods Online and hopefully actually get back on my PS4 for some Witcher 3 and Destiny.
- Guild System Deconstructed September 2015 Update
No, I haven't forgotten about this one. I'm currently working on the show outline, rating system and opening trailer. With Yulishka going out of country for the next month I'm hoping to finish several key projects including this one. Stay tuned for more.

- Retake then push in
We began as a smaller group under Leslie's wings retaking areas on our own BL but as her legend and deeds spread, we gathered many more to our fold and retook much of the BL then pushed in to our enemies' territories, causing havok right and left.
- Engies in WvW
Terafer hosted a great WvW event where we foces on Engy class.
What I learned was that if you have 15 Engies all using Flame thrower, it makes a rather intiimidating entrance !
A number of people use tools and boots as part of their build (I do not, I use bombs to unleash hell) and if you do use tools, choose traits accordingly...
- Awesome fun and my first PvP experience
I had an awesome time and really enjoyed it. This was my first time ever doing any type of PvP in ESO. This gave me great flashbacks of DAoC and the RvR days. My friend who joined us, Miwaymi (however spelled), was even impressed and asked how often you guys do this because she wants in on more and the guild! Great job Fog and everyone that helped do this!
- Good run
A good run. Wouldn't have been possible without all the leads from Deacon and Cam the past many moons. Deacon (who knows the map better tan anyone) having the rear made rapid (that was difficult and tiresome to learn to do but so good to know) flanking, staying together, the big picture among other things and Cam (like Emily Dickinson's HOPE) being perched on the shoulder of the team, watching, scouting, making sure everyone was safe and rezzed.
- It was a fun romp through WvW...
Not a perfect run but one where we retook many areas of our own BL lost to bandit raiders.
- Frantic defense but always arrive in the knick of time
Always arrived to the Lord's room just in time to save the tower. It was the theme of the night and it was a blast. Had a hella of a good time !
- GSCH aids in SoR Defense agains SF
Thank you all for your time and attention today on Ranger Class Day. Good Fights against superior numbers. We had some great defense on towers and keeps. Hope to see you all again next week.
- Saturday Adventures with Terafer Class Day Ranger!
Thanks All for coming out to discuss Ranger builds, Strengths and Weakness. I know I learn more every time we have one of these events.
This event was the discussion on builds, weapons, runes and sigils...
- Leslie rocked
Even though the mic failed in the end, it was still a great outing. Little resistance so we capped lots of stuff. Yay !
- Star's Raiders ends early...no mic:(.
Sorry about having to cut my event for you all short last night. My microphone just hit the biscuit. We were doing great until that happened and did manage to run for almost 3 hrs. We also took 3 Keeps and helped the other Commanders keep our PPT nice and high...
- thanks for letting me heal
first time ever actually healing in a group--learning by doing -- thanks for the chance to do
- I've been a busy lady!
I haven't been able to play much of ESO the past few weeks. I have 3 teenagers in high school, and getting them from marching band practice, to instrument lessons, to fundraisers, to football games, picking up from after school activities, and finding time during the day to do all the other things I need to and play this game have been quite daunting...
- Gaiscioch Fan-Art
"Gaiscioch"
What if Gaiscioch were a place, a physical location.
What if one could go there to escape this crazy world. What would this place look like?
This is the core of the idea, and when i started sketching this out only about 2 hours ago, the idea was based around the "tree"
Now, what if instead of fruit on this tree, it were houses, apartments, homes; what would that look like?
And where would this place be located?
I have never created a Fan-Art of an entire community before, but that is the aim in this project...
