Gaiscioch Community News June, 2015
- Gaiscioch Gets Serious About Livestreaming
Over the past 2 years we've dabbled with streaming some of our events and have been met with a scarce audience. Since then we've learned a lot about streaming. We've improved the quality of our streams, added flashy graphics and titles, and we have created a section of the Gaiscioch Magazine site devoted to our livestream content.
- Get Social With Us
Gaiscioch wants to keep in touch with you! Be sure to join our facebook group, follow us on twitter, subscribe to our twitch and youtube, and join our google+ page. I will be streaming our latest updates directly to social media to help keep you informed and connected. Also be sure to share your favorite news, posts, and videos.
- GameVox Partnership
Gaiscioch Introduces New Voice Communication Program
Last month we introduced a new cross platform voice communication software by way of a new partnership with GameVox. This cloud based easy to use Voice Communication suite gives us the simplicity of RaidCall without the trolls and the features of TeamSpeak all in one PC and Mac friendly package.
- E3 2015 Forecast
Over the past 2 years E3 really has been pretty dry. E3 2015 however looks to be ready to make a huge splash. There is a ludicrous amount of announcements planned for E3. So much this is the first time ever that Bethesda is actually presenting at E3. E3 runs from June 16th to 18th and Allie and I have plans to gather and deploy as much context as possible out to you via the Gaiscioch Magazine website.
- PAX Prime Party Plans
The legendary mythical PAX Prime pass went on sale and sold out once again in several hours. Whether you got into the show or not, there are several events going on regardless. We will likely be able to arrange to have a few of us party with ArenaNet once again (annual tradition). Additionally this year we will likely have ArenaNet party with us! Our annual Gaiscioch Celebration takes place on Sunday, August 30th, 2015 at 8PM PT at Fado Irish Pub in Seattle Washington.

- June 2015 GW2 Progress Report
Our 4th Chapter saw our 5th straight month of growth. As anticipation builds for the upcoming expansion we can expect to see more players coming back into the fold. Our recently launched Siege War has become one of our most watched livestreams.
- Representing Other Guilds
I know there has been some talk about [KONG] and [GSCH] and what's going on between the two. I can tell you right now people are reading more into things than they should. Many times people assume GSCH is like most other guilds where we focus our efforts on keeping people wearing our tag. A quick trip to our Guild Wars 2 Overview post you will see that we encourage players to join other guilds as well and even create their own guilds. This allows us to have fingers in every guild out there and if we need to get the word out for something we have the means to do so.

- terafer gathers the mighty army
And we found little to stand in our way. Seeing a large batch of lich forms charge the towers was a site to behold.
Even the map channel had a number of comments to the effect of being rolled by a swarm of necros.
- the best leadership I have seen
Lakshmie's calm and clear communication is by far the best I have seen in GW2. Everything is well explained, and the result is a large group acting in unison.
Hence we dropped that sandy ogre dude even in the face of all those orange circles !
- Nice run
Well led. That goat guy needs to shut up.
- Jumping Puzzles galore
Big thanks to Jay for the assistance in leading the second party, as well as jumping and porting people around as needed. We managed to do all the JP's that we can't be ported straight into.
Good times and a great job by one and all...
- Veteran, Spider filled, hateful (but fun!), Veteran Fungal Grotto
Having been here before and been sent home packing with broken armor by Gaymne Bandu. We returned to scene of the crime with the aid of Amalmer1 (I hope I spelled that right) and a random late night DPS we found in zone...
Jumped in about the middle of the event. Enjoyed taking our towers back and jumping to EmBay to take some of their stuff too.
- Star's Explorables
Great dungeon running all and a great turn out! We had enough to make two dungeon teams and completed SE 1 and AC 3 with me talking to all of you in GameVox:). A special thanks to R.C. for leading the other team in the runs...
- Morning run
Thank you all for coming out to join me for some fun on the borderlands this morning. I am still a bit foggy from the antihistamines that I am taking, but I did my best this morning for a short run. I will be back next week for more WvW, and I will do either one or two mornings events depending on how the allergy situation is by then...
- Lion's Arch ...
Great job, and very helpful, Thanks again, Joe (Lily Ka)
- Blessed Crucible (of fire)
Undaunted daily in the Blessed Crucible. Having only done this one once as a regular dungeon as youngsters we had a fun time remembering all the various fights and stages to each fight. Phrases like "I don't remember werewolves"...
- HOWLLLL
thank you to all of those who came out last night... even though we died quite a few times I think it was a very fun and successful night.. I'd like those of you who came out in your WW and those who took the time to change your armor color, as El would say we were all very pretty out there :)

- First timers in Veteran Spindleclutch
Three guild members new to Veteran Spindleclutch were ably guided through some challenging content with minimal casualties by Jairone. Asharei was our healer, Jairone and Borah were our talented Dps whilst I was in charge of making things angry and acting as meat shield to these brave adventurers...
- Star's Havoc despite the Bugs!
A great night tonight! All of you were awesome despite the bugs; our own guards turning red & attacking us, our own guards taking out our cannons & having to rebuild them, and the cross swords on our keeps, towers, & camps that forced us to run and check them all just in case it was the enemy...
we got 3 of the achievements- plus i learned that we had switched to gamevox. all in all a great night of GW2 with the guild.
- Oops, I mislabled this event
However, the Achievement Hunters went very well this week and we had a great time out in Malchor's Leap. We ported up to Antre of Adjournment and jumped the Scavenger's Chasm Jump Puzzles for the fellowship, the achievements and of course, the loot...
- Picnics in Bruma
Tigallo took us to Bruma for some serious daily questings :3 We had lots of fun, loots, skyshards, achievements and shinies!!! I can't wait for the next run! :D
- A Late Start - Great Fights
I was having some very frustrating internet connection issues this morning, but after a few frantic text messages on my part, the troops rallied together and havoc ensued until I arrived. After several resets of the modem, the computer and finally a hard reset by the cable company...
- Deacons
Ran for Deacon during his unscheduled abscence
- Star's Raiders
A great night in WvW! Thanks to all of you that came out and supported me. We had some great open field fights against larger numbers and took them down with a heavy blow. We also pushed them off our towers and back to spawn several times...
- Late Night WvW - the Few, the Proud, the Mighty!
I don't know how many IoJ or AR it would actually take to wipe our group, but I do know how many they were going to use...
It doesn't matter how badly we were outmanned - our skill was much greater than theirs, and it clearly showed on the field...
- Great Night in the Silverwastes
I was finally able to take some time and join in a Saturday in the Silverwastes and what a Saturday it was! We quickly captured and held all the forts (thank you for your leadership and communication, Lakshmi) against whatever the Mordrem threw at us, including not one but two legendary Mordrem champions! The Executioner and Tormentor were both defeated in short order, giving more than a few people (myself included) the Be All and End All achievement...
- L L L
L L L stands for Legendary Leader Lakshmie.
She was great !
Silverwastes have many nuances and pitfalls that can give the most ardent adventurer a headache. She guided us through those perils with poise and positive attitude...
- Star's Raiders
What a great time in WvW today! A special thanks to Aoibheann and Smitty for their Golems on both IoJ and AR borderlands and to Kitty refreshing them before I started up & during the event. We were able to take many Keeps and Towers with our small numbers, squish the enemies, and had a lot of fun in the Borderlands...
- TY to those who came along...
I much appreciate the calm, the patience, and the effort by the members who came with me to Darkshade Caverns and dealt with one of the toughest VR dungeons as a group even though we were not optimal.
Berkanna, Elizabeth, and Ternie: Thank you! I hope you enjoy seeing the guide in the magazine!
- Doing it the right way
It was a tough go last night in terms of the overwhelming numbers that AR had.
But Sif kept things well organized, and light. Newcomers and long time returners were fully welcomed with open arms and all questions were answered promptly...
- Friday Pre-Reset WvW Campaigns
A lot of people ask "Why?" when they see a Friday WvW Event and the outcome of the weekly match is already set. There are a lot of reasons - some of them have to do with the Champ bags, or the heavy loot bags our vanquished enemies leave for us, but the main reason I can think of is simply coming together and kicking butt as a Family...
- Tagging down this week
Due to health issues I will not be leading events this week. I hope to resume my normal level of activity next week.
- 3rd Time Lucky
My 3rd visit too Hel Ra trail ended with us getting completion. Even though I was both tired and funble fingered, which involved me dying more than a few times, the group was supportive and both Lavum and Verve gave good pre-battle synopsis...
- WvW for Wednesday
I will be running a short WvW event today, then going to the Dr in the afternoon. Sorry for all the last minute changes, they are trying to fit me in for an appointment.
See you on the Borderlands,
Aoibheann Sidhe
