The Battle for GoM Bay [Fin's Chaos Squad June 17th 2014] The sound of battle rang out fiercely outside GoM Bay. Our small squad of heroes, no more than 6 or 7 in total, had successfully captured the enemy's South West Supply Depot only moments before. Battle cries were heard over the clamour of steel on steel and destructive magic...
Operation Camp-Stomp [Fin's Chaos Squad June 12th 2014] Deep into the heart of enemy territory, right on the doorstep of the enemy's infamous Citadel, the small, yet fearless chaos squad lay in waiting, scouting, observing their objective, awaiting the right moment to strike a blow at the enemy, in order to cut off valuable supply to the enemy's fortifications...
Learn By Doing - Sorrows Embrace P2 This crew took on arguably one of the longest and most difficult dungeon paths in the game. Every encounter went something like this.
Step 1. Goat does a wonderful job of explaining the fight.
Step 2...
Tempest Keep (served it up in a cup!) Murben, Muzette, and Villaovi and I rolled through this place and showed them what a real tempest looks like... glory to The Pact!
Family run +1 (healer) success! Villaovi and Muzette has to depart, but that didn't stop us! Khaleesi joined and we added a grand sorcerer healer named Yulia Risingsun and, together, we brought some heat to Direfrost Keep!
Volenfell... fell. Despite computer issues and first visit jitters, Villaovi, Murben, Muzette, and I ensured that Volenfeel knew Gaiscioch had been there!
Fam Fun Times in ARX Pops Tart, Belegross, Syn Harl and I showed those arrogant Lamia a thing or two today; though admittedly, The Lamia Queen brought a bit of her own, reptilian brand of smack down to play. Shards, books, and bosses all fell into our hands (as well they should!).
Thanks Findan! Just a note to thank Findan for stepping up and leading when my internet went down. It was an epic defense of Hills in SOR with a three way battle for control of the Lords Room. Twice we beat back the hordes of enemy troops and everyone did a great job...
Great Event Despite the issues we had in Stonefalls and Deshaan Jairone handled them well. Birdee stepped up to run a second group so we were two smaller groups to keep us from having as much of an issue plaguing larger groups though we could have filled one full raid...
Lag plauged Stonefalls and somewhat Deshaan, but dolmen were still destroyed. There were some definite lag issues while we tried to get going on the dolmen destruction achievement run.
I want to thank everybody for not freaking out too much (except myself, who was frantically trying to find some way to make it better) and for sticking with it where applicable...
Poohka: The Grinning General Today was Defense, defense, defense... then supply camps.... then more defense but it is following Poohka that makes it all worth while. I really can't see his face but I imagine that he is grinning with every breath he takes and every command he gives...
Osu may have felt ill, and we hope he is feeling better, but the skyshard hunt needed to go on! In spite of Osu feeling ill, a decent group of adventurous souls ventured into Cyrodil. Together they rode out, slogging through several lakes, exploring caves with far too many undead in them, fighting a giant upon a hilltop, jumping off cliffs as is Gaiscioch tradition!
There were a few moments of frustration with lag, that foul beast which appears to snatch people away for a random cup of tea which you must finish before returning, and which may be sized anywhere from a thimble to an entire lake...
highlight for the run tonight Getting the scroll and running along with it, killing a lot of AD who were chasing us. It was refreshing to get so many kills in on AD. :D
News Flash! It has been reported by observers that Northern Shivverpeaks was "Steam Rolled" by members of the Gaiscioch Clan early Friday morning in the eternal battlegrounds. Apparently unknowing or uncaring the poor souls gave little notice until it was too late...
Impromptu Romp Through The Daedra's Hall Tallar assisted Iriali in conquering the halls of Sanguine's Demesne late Thursday night, banishing the daedric spawn and cleansing the halls of their brutish, fetid presence. Along the way Iriali was able to assist the phantom denizens in re-establishing their hopping hot-spot, while Tallar kept her from perishing beneath more than a few mobs of cursed blades...
Quest for the Holy Tower... Your friendly neighborhood Smitty here...
What a night of fighting in the name of SoR! Smitty's Sabres fought once more and took back SoR BL from HEAVY CD and NSP forces. Several times, three zergs had run headlong into each other...
Tricks and Treats Well I would think that the first AvA event that I lead was a success. However, it didn't start out that way.
We all grouped up on Hopesfire and headed out the Northern gate and we immediately assaulted by the Casule group...
Craglorn yields some nice discoveries... and then a little chaos. Well, we formed up a fair sized group (almost 16 people) and headed off to find everything we could in Craglorn. Denny had gathered us, putting out a call that brought in a variety of warriors and mages, all experienced veterans...
Wowsers on Wabba!! We were so busy moving here and there and back again, as a mass unit, that we all lost track of time!!! Wowsers that was fun!! We blew up RaidCall too, but that didn't stop us either. We just downloaded Teamspeak and carried on! I have never seen such an even number of MASSES of both Smurfs and Bananas!! Truly, truly a fun run with Poohka's regularly scheduled Saturday event...
The new cyrodiil is mean :c Now with the new vet 5 mobs it's very hard to take anything with a small group. On the bright side, it is very rewarding to do stuff there because it gives LOADS of more experience and it's very fun. I can't wait to be level vet and smash some skulls >:3
Hard Cyrodiil Skyshard run. After a frustrating early attack by the ad vet 10 group, we decided to have so fun gathering skyshards in Voulundrung. We had an excellent group smashing our way through dungeons and even managing to get the shards behind both AD's and DC's lines.
Dagger's Fight in Blue Border Thank you all for your participation a really fun night with excellent fights.
Be sure to claim participation for this event using the passcode "355877" on SanctumofRall.com to be eligible to win weekly prizes...
My God... It's full of stars! Your friendly neighborhood Smitty here!
Last night was clearly a moment for me similar to Dave Bowman at the end of "2001: A Space Odyssey" where he is finally exposed to the secrets of the universe and is reborn as the "Star Child"...
First time leading AvA Congrats to Everyone that came out tonight. To start with we hit a max of 20 people. We assaulted multiple resource nodes, 13 to be exact... We defended several against a small group of AD VR players. A few of them were former emperors...
One of the most enjoyable dungeons I've had the pleasure of running. I knew what to expect, knew what was expected, and succeeded in this dungeon. Thank you for your excellent leadership Zee!
We kept Hodgins alive in the burrow room, we got through the rest nearly unscathed...
Great fight yesterday we started our night taking a keep with some AD vets defending and even with our losses we pushed on keep after keep... AD challenged us at every turn, even had the empress come out because the vet 10's that were there couldn't stop us...
Scroll of Ghartok Returns Home A small but intrepid group of adventurers ventured into the lands of the Dominion, all with a common goal and focus, Restoring the Scroll of Ghartok to its rightful home. It mattered little that there may be skilled and battle scarred vetrans of at least 10 campaigns facing this focused group, they were intent on their task and would not waver...
Almost another Elder Scroll! Again, we had hands on the Elder Scroll of Chim. Very close, but mobbed by many VR10 AD. They took it to Castle Roebuck. We're gonna get it back sooner or later.
We almost took the Scroll of Chim! It was very exciting. We worked our way South, far enough to breach the walls and run almost all the way back home with the Scroll of Chim. Fun times.
The Few The Proud We are SOR We were few in numbers but fought with rage of thousands and we held our own against not one but two mighty armies. We even chased them off the field of battle to take back what was ours. The battles were hard fought , some were wins and others were not...
Super Showing from SoR on hard fought reset night. They are so many of them.
That is the truth of this night!
So many of them!
It was in that sea of red, two forces against us, and each other - we fought with spirit and honor.
We did that. SoR...
a quiet leader as the battle raged on I'd like to thank everyone who came out last night, think it was a fairly productive night as we manage to capture keep after keep... we even had a nice fight with DC that caught us by surprise with the amount of ppl they had out there...
Internet Went Down Sorry for all that were following this morning. I had internet provider failure and was just now able to get back on. I wanted to tell everyone how great you did this morning! Look forward to seeing you all again next week...
Pickin' it up with Fog Tuesday Night Club Gaiscioch AvA with Fog. I joined up to see some new tactics in action. Upon entering Cyrodiil, I see the need for a pickup leader. I decided to lead this time rather than follow. I figure I can screw it up or I can shine...
The Heroes of Tamriel It started with only two brave warriors (not me). Their persistence was admirable. Slowly the group became larger, but not that large.. The only possible tactic for being a pain in the arse for AD was taking back a few resources...
The Few The Proud Small group this morning but we accomplished a lot. Three keeps in SOR borderlands was the highlight. At least one good tower defense with an equal sized opponent, but certainly not equal skill. Great job everyone!
