Each year the Gaiscioch hold their annual look into the Gaiscioch Community as we look to our Past, Present, and Future. Our Annual State of the Family livestream acts as a look at the cool things we did over the past year, highlights the things going on now and discusses the things we're looking at doing in the next year. This year is an exciting one and I look forward to sharing some news with everyone. - New Giveaway System
We've added a new feature to our community that allows us to do giveaways for our members to award Family Vault Credits (FVC) prizes. These credits can be used to purchase materials, crafted goods, or even new games from our loot vault. To kick things off I'm including a kicker code in this newsletter to help get you guys started. Simply head to our marketplace and "Redeem Code" to claim your free vault credits. Please note these codes will expire after 14 days so use them right away. Additionally they are locked to your member account so you won't be able to pass them to a friend.

- Gaiscioch Extra Life Charity Livestream 2018
We're in the final month before the event and we've got a long way to go to meeting our goal. We could really use some social media exposure on this and I personally will be paying to have an ad floated on Facebook to help raise money for the event. It's time to rally the troops.
- Earn Social Points For Watching Us On Twitch!
A new feature has been added to Gaiscioch.com this month. You can now join the Twitch Community Social Adventure using your Twitch Handle to automatically accumulate social points every time you watch a livestream. This allows members who might not be playing any game with us to be able to obtain veteran member status without having to play a game we play just by participating in the twitch community. You do not need to claim events to earn points as they are automatically tracked via the Twitch API.
- Another Batch of Patches Heading to the Mailbox
I've got all the labels printed and ready to send the latest batch of patches out. This time all of the Patreon supporters who met their $25 Patch goal will be receiving them if they've put in their address information into Patreon. In addition we've had a few more Laoch provide addresses and they can expect mail soon. At the current rate I'm gonna need to order more patches :D. I want to thank you all for supporting the community and I look forward to seeing how you use them :).

- Opinions Needed for Fall 2018 Poll
I've put together a little bite sized poll I plan on publishing to the Magazine Audience and help guide our focus on content. - Changing how we keep in touch
Many of you have received a note from me in the past asking you to check in to keep your spot in the guild roster. Since its creation it has helped keep people checking in, but it also has created some unexpected reactions. Some people were taking it as a if you don't do this we're kicking you out. That simply isn't the case. They aren't in trouble of being removed from Gaiscioch just that they might get rotated out if they remained afk too long. They could easily get invited again at any time. This led to many members "Re-Applying" to join the community which they didn't need to do. Once a Gaiscioch always a Gaiscioch.

- The Summerfall Event
The conclusion of the summerfall event is upon us. You have until October 7th to earn rewards for playing in Summerfall. To earn the free rewards for yourself and your fellow players, simply explore the isles of Summerset and Artaeum and earn the Summerset Pathfinder Achievement (you can find details on the Achievement in your Journal). - Sanctum of Rall Returns to Tier 1 Briefly
This past week with a #5 rank we managed to get tossed into Tier 1 to see how we stack up. It has been a hard fight and we are behind a bit but not the blowout we expected. I am confident that Tier 2 will be where we will call home with the occasional trip to Tier 1. This is the best possible place we can be. Tier 2 fights are fun and competitive and the trip to Tier 1 every few weeks will keep us humble, make us appreciate the victories where we can get them. - New Blood, New Allies, New Battles
Over the past month we've welcomed a whole crop of new players into our community and many of them seem to have high aspirations. One such fellow, Sixlores has been seen commanding Tier 4 warbands regularly. Each week we take to the battlefield Thursday night at 6PM PT for Tier 4 RvR. Last month we went 5-0 on zone locks in Tier 4 even when at times we had the odds stacked against us 3 to 1. Our Tier 1 crew has pulled off a stunning 10-0 record over the course of September. - Rune Delayed
In a move I wish more developers would take, Human Head Studios decided to delay the launch of early access until "Winter" to allow them more time to polish the game and improve game systems after a grueling series of technical tests. They don't want to release an unfinished product and try to win back people over time. They want to astonish out the gate and improve upon a solid start. - New Middle-Earth MMO Appears on Horizon
The first major announcement was from the parent company of the developers of Warframe and Gears of War with their new MMORPG set in the time before the Lord of the Rings. The developer has yet to be announced for the project but they are seeking to bring the period of time leading up to the fellowship of the ring. I am unsure how many people are interested in Amazon.com's first MMORPG titled New World, however I can say they have been sending out invites to their newest alpha test. - Guild Wars 1
Thanks to Rom he's been teaching the newbies to GW1 in various quests/missions. If anyone is interested in learning about the GSCH guild in GW1 he does have a post in the forums.
- Path of Hero Points and Masteries
This week Old Goat and our company of adventurers carved a path of Hero Point Challenges and Masteries through open world maps: Crystal Oasis, Desert Highlands, Elon Riverlands.
- Mayhem in Shor
We had fun storming the castle...
- Spicey meatballs
Winter skillfully guided us through our daring dungeon - with spicey meatballs our reward in the end.
- Riches in Jahai Bluffs
Riches were discovered in Jahai Bluffs, with champions and legendaries falling to our might swords, staves, and death-stares. This was a great way to tour the new zone - highly recommended, 5 stars!
- Protect and Serve
Today our adventurers escorted a tiny but mighty level 6 Baby Bri around Diessa Plateau - zone map completed!
- A Star to Guide Us - Story
Our heroes headed off to protect Blish and find a passage to Sun's Refuge.
- A Star to Guide Us
A fitting description for our little event! Our star, Winterlight, guided 3, then 4, then 5 of us through the beginning of the newest story. It was a great evening with our star to guide us!

This was my first experience in RoR where it felt like the WAR warbands of the old days. Good planning and direction. I had a lot of fun and can't wait for the next one!
