GmaFog Posted a Battle Recap: Plains of Ashford Ghostly Fun
Thank you all for coming today - It's great to have a big group. We finished the north west areas near Gunbreach Hills then went south. We fought Ascalonian Fighter sup the wazzoo! Ended up in a lot of defense events. Jumped of any ledgems we could and got lots of shinies and chests. We went all the way to Charr's Triumph area where we will meet next week. All that left early need to get the Temperus Point Waypoint for next Saturday.

These maps had been the same since 2012 - including the exact same details on the ghostly threats. The ghosts had never changed their tactics of wandering around aimlessly on the map, yet still this was the greatest threat to the Char nation. Angryclaw McBurnFire frowned deeply - even though there were literally thousands of level 80 characters at this point, how could they have any hope at destroying the level 12 ghosts that threatened the occasional moa? "Legionnaire!" came a voice as the sound of grinding metal emitted from the opening door...

GmaFog Posted a Battle Recap: Fun with Gma Fog
This new event was added just yesterday, so the word didn't get out to every one. So we started a bit late, but leveled and map cleared Lions Arch. Gma Fog showed everyone how to jump off cliffs. She revived the ones that didn't make it and had to be revived a few times herself. We ended with the long run up the lighthouse getting very dizzy. We did go on and help everyone that joined us late. Everyone got their map cleared! I want to thank everyone that came. Groups make map clearing much more fun!

At the end of the afternoon and outnumbered at least 2 and at times 3 to 1 on GoM and the only real issue we had were where to put all the loot. The fight in the SE camp on GoM was especially memorable! I can't thank you enough for your support and rallying together to keep that fight going for well over 30 minutes...

Last night was our first attempt to shake up the group a bit. After putting a great deal of time into gear and research, Paleus, our NightBlade Emperor, served as tank through the twisted corridors of the Vaults of Madness. There was a learning curve involved for all of our roles - but I felt that the biggest was the pause between pulls, each of us waiting for the tank to lead the charge... and then Paleus remembering that meant him! While we did scale this dungeon down to V6 to accommodate the new role for Paleus and to make things easier for our two dps, who were both midlevel veteran alts, it was a successful experiment with minimal deaths and only a smidge of chaos...

so laterz fog is like 'time to assert our authority on people in wvw' and we're like 'kay' and we teleport there but I'm like a second too slow so I spend the first 45 minutes chasing a blue diamond around on the map while fog tries desperately to lose everyone following him but eventually he gets bored and attacks some stuff so we beat on some walls and there was this one guy who showed up and we rolled on him hard so he basically quit the game because 200 people just violated him in ways that would make 4chan blush anyways we're running around the wilderness and fog starts talking about how nazis or romans I forget probably nazis and romans stold his family name because he hails from a clan of savages and they led a great war against irish people who at that time thought maybe a woman could do something more than make men a sandwich...

So everyone is waiting around in TS and Fog is like 'lolz sup homies, I just got a new cpu fan' and people are like 'wow that is amazing fog' and he is like 'i know rite' then people teleport over to fight this dragon who exists in multiple planes of realities and fog starts dropping some tactics and is all like 'computer blue darling nikki' and my wife is like 'wtf does that mean?' and I'm like 'I don't know I think fog is like holy crap I've ran this event literally longer than I've been alive if you don't know it by now please go diaf thanks' and she's like 'so what do we do' and I'm like 'well we could ask for help or read up about it but f that let's join the mindless horde' so we run around trying to clip teq's toenails for a bit and then there are some waves and the dragon is like 'wait a minute I'm a dragon and can fly and assault you people from the skies' so he leaves and fog is like 'BLACK CAT DOLPHIN MANEUVER, EXECUTE SOUTH TANGO!" which apparently means run around and attack random things because the massive zerg just kinda wtf whatever so anyways there were some guns and some lady on ts was like 'EAST EAST EAST' and so I go east and kill some stuff and more stuff shows up but then fog is like 'DELTA GREEN TACO!!' so everyone rolls back up and the dragon is like basically the fish from little nemo whose name is dory and is like 'what was I doing? I don't remember, better land, oh shit there are people here better attack them very slowly and dramatically' and then this repeated like 3 times and fog is like 'BURN BETTER!!' and then the dragon dies and people are like 'yay' and then we go to this waypoint and fog plans a cunning ambush where 200 people stand casually on a road in the wilderness waiting for this dude to walk between then and then we are like 'haha, tis an ambush!' and the guy is like 'oh! I am surprise' and we kill him...

We started out at the Soren Draa Waypoint in Metrica Province and circled the edge of Metrica going counter clockwise. Hearts, Vistas, POIs and Hero Points were plenty - fighting lots of drakes, skelks, and other creatures along the way. Found a few caves with chests and shinys too! Ended up at Michotl Grounds Waypoint where we will start off next time. Many stragglers started following us and there was a great time had by all.

We had a sturdy group completing map accomplishments for the locals in Queensdale. Many a centaur, skelk, and boar were slain for the greater glory of GSCH! We helped many locals in their efforts to carve out livelihoods also. A fun time was had and we even discovered a secret jumping puzzle complete with rewards for our young heroes. Huzzah!

Queensdale was all like "oh noez there is so many monsters plz hlp!" GSCH is all like "whatevs" So a bunch of people show up, some have wings or whatever. Then there is a tornado of death that spans the western half of the map. So many things die. Centaurs are now extinct. Also there was this shadow thing and he was like 'FFUUU GSCH I WILL EAT YOUR SOULS LOL" and we are like 'lolz noob' and then he opens some portals but we close them but he opens them again and then we close those and he opened more and we closed those then he opened some more and we were like 'lol' and kill him with stategery...

WvW for me seems to usually be the same thing over and over. But tonight on the Smitty birthday night, it was a whole different thing. Seeing 40+ people scatter to all the borderlands seeking out supply. That was fun to see. Watching Golem after Golem roll off the assembly line. Everyone flaming at the same time. Tres Cool. Seeing the rate at which a gate gets destroyed was comical. And of course sticking it to GOM, the icing on the birthday cake. Thank you Smitty for all the efforts, it was a great adventure.
