SamVimes Posted a Battle Recap: Kill, kills it again!
If your not running these events you are missing out. Kill runs some of the cleanest smartest events on SOR. If you are on the fence about whether to join in or skip you are doing yourself and your toon a disservice. Great communication and even better tunes. I run with his events and I know I'm going to have a great time.

Zemustat Posted a Battle Recap: Very well done
Just finished a mini-marathon day of GW2, so I'm too exhausted for a long, drawn out message, so I'll simply say this: This was most definitely the most fun I've had in any dungeon run I've done in GW2 to this date... And possibly the most fun I've had in any MMO guild event ever (except EVE, of course... Pirating Frigate Roam Night with my old corp can NOT be topped ;)
If I had even one Token of Valor, it would be spent here...
Well done!

Jessica Posted a Battle Recap: Commander Jessica's Musings
Entered the battlefield a little early today. Wanted to get an idea of what we were facing before I lead my family to the fields of war. Looking out over the fields, I saw no allies, no one to back us up if we got into a pinch. I weighed the options. I could go claim another field and run with the allies there, or I could pave a new path. I rallied my fellow Gaiscioch out of their other adventures, and proceeded to make some provisions for our battle today. While I was cooking, I started thinking about the things I had learned from other commanders that had paved those paths before too...

Krynn Posted a Blog: Team Krynn
Hiya Family!! Not really sure what to put in here. So I will start with some personal and gaming basics, then move on from there. I was an avid Guild Wars player for five plus years and naturally moved onto Guild Wars2. I play Guild Wars2 quite often and even log back in to the original from time to time. My favorite character is my Ranger, Aerliyn. I have 10 characters total and play them all, nine are level 80's and the last is very close. I have come to really enjoy jumping puzzles and WvW.
Now some personal...

IeleniaSiannodel Posted a Blog: Ielenia's Guide to Queen's Gauntlet (Most for warrior)
So I finally beat the dark lady yesterday with my warrior, and I know many of us are still trying, so I'd like to share my experience. I also repeated some fight with my ranger and guardian. I'll mainly talk about the warrior cuz so far I think warrior is the easiest class to finish this.
T1
Halmi Hammerfell
This guy is very easy for every class, his normal attack is not deadly and he only have a big-wind attack that will instant kill those who stand in front of him.
Doobroosh
Also very easy, every time you attack him he gets bigger and more powerful, so pause your attack after he gets many stacks of buff and wait the buff gone then continue attack...

Kilashandra Posted a Battle Recap: A Tale of Legends Bold and Treasures Ancient pt 1
It was a warm, comfortable day in Divintiy's Reach. Workers traversed the town, merchants sold their wares, and everywhere there was a feeling of anticipation. It seems the Queen was preparing for a celebration, no doubt to honor stories and legends of brave Humans an Norn who had given their lives to aid the Human's Call. I had come in search of clues and tales about a Scritt i had heard tales of during my adventures in Southsun. The tales had managed to stir the soul of a hunter, and such rampant theft must be ended...

Kilashandra Posted a Battle Recap: Paradises are usually places where you get killed
It was HOT. That was my first thought after stepping through the Asuaran Gate. Lion's Arch has a tendency to be warm for me, after all, I was born and raised in the Snowden Drifts, near Wayfarers. There is a comfort in seeing the horizon lined with ice, sub-zero temperatures and snow blanketing the earth like a mother wraps her newborn. It gives challenge to the hunt, knowing that an animal blessed by Raven can outsmart the hunter, despite the tell-tale tracks the snow leaves behind. Cool nights in the homestead by the fire, ale readily at hand, and tales of valor and glory told by the hearth...

Alphazuma Posted a Battle Recap: Boc Boc!
Wow... its all that comes to mind... just wow... This was my first event with the Gaiscioch family and i gota say i had an absolute blast. haveing no experience with group play in GW2 i was seriously confused and overwhelmed at the offset. i literally got my invite into Gaiscioch 10 minutes before the event so I accepted it and immediately found myself standing beneath the Shaemoor waypoint with a crowd of players while i downloaded raid call and jumped in. Moments later, an elder used game chat to say "anyone not in a group message the number 1" immediately myself and two others slapped the 1 key and bam! party up done! I really wish i could remember the elders name who did this because it worked wonderfully...

Kilashandra Posted a Battle Recap: The Hills Were Alive........
it started just like any other day. A group of civic minded adventures banded together to bring the joyous news of Kiel's bid for a seat on the council to the brave defenders at Fort Salma. No sooner did we arrive and finish our first tale of how Keil managed to thwart the recent Atherblade attack, did word of trouble arrive by messenger. It seems that wherever I go, the chance for glory and adventure follows. Much to the disappointment of several station troops, Our adventuring group decided to venture forth and lend aid, diverting us from our noble quest to ensure Keil attains her rightful place on the Lion's Arch council...

Oldgoat Posted a Battle Recap: Excellent Teamwork
We went in with a little bit of knowledge, but there were some surprises. However, as a group, these folks were awesome. When we couldn't figure it out right away, we stepped back, did what had to be done and got it right the next time. Everyone did whatever was necessary to make this a good run. Thanks guys.

Kilashandra Posted a Battle Recap: Listen to the beat of our souls!
It was a glorious adventure! Kilashandra the Norn set out with a small group of adventurers, determined to conquer every dive in accursed orr. As we proceeded from Fort Trinity, the strength of her legend called out to others in the land, and soon she was joined by the small yet robust adventurer Jedgak, and uncommon Asura who's skill at traversing dangerous ground proved invaluable. Not only that, but he was an uncommon Asura, not once did any in the party hear him use the word "bookah" and he had none of the barbed replies most Asura are known for...

Dee Posted a Battle Recap: Ryokka's sPVP for Beginners
Informative, kind group of experience guild members showed support for Ryokka's event. All gave battle plan suggestions and tips. The hardest part was practice rounds. Turning the sword in at great leaders and peers just felt wrong. Running in battle with this group felt so safe and comforting. They all keep cool heads, stuck to battle plans and asked for help. Beginners luck and great leaders got me Top Player position. Thank You all. As a beginner, I showed up with my regular armor, did not retrait, or have special weapons...

Kilashandra Posted a Battle Recap: I must have killed more men than Cecil B. DeMille.
help needed: there was this uppidy asura that went and hit me until i was down, then he stuck a flag in me. Sir(s), I'd appreciate it if you could find it in your heart to to hunt him down and hang him up by his neck until he was dead.............and any mesmers you happen to come across..... (j/k) ;)
A great time was had by all, several attendees had no idea how much fun spvp could be. I'll be attending a lot more events. (plus, it's relatively easy to get the pvp daily when playing with family)...

Oldgoat Posted a Battle Recap: An excellent adventure.
The Queen was in fact in danger and was kidnapped. Our heroes fought through the overwhelming odds and rescued her without the loss of a single life. Well done, heroes all. I bow to you.
Even Logan was impressed, I heard him talking to the Queen and telling her he could not have done it without each and every one of you.

Oldgoat Posted a Battle Recap: What I learned
I learned that you need to keep your eyes open because sometimes a small group is a decoy and if you attack them it becomes an ambush.
I learned that small groups tend to do better on smaller mission types. Don't try to assault a castle with 15 individuals, go after a supply depot or dolyak instead.
I learned that if you swim close to the surface, your name gives you away if someone is keeping watch.
I learned you can sneak in and damage a wall with a catapult and as long as there is a big battle going on at the door, you might actually get away with it...

Dee Posted a Battle Recap: Kilashandra's Labyrinthine Cliffs crystal hunt
Event was thrill ride of heart pounding, sweating palms, with high and low emotions. Kilashandra lead a wonderful event! Syrene Harmony, mighty Mesmer ported the group to tips of poles, top of wind mill and hairline cliffs. Kilashandra and Syrene Harmoney gave motivational talks at the perfect time. The event was not called till all participants had achievement of 40 crystals. The grand finale was the best dive ever. Thanks to Hateweaver for leading a party and Lady of the Mist who always jumped in to help participants...
