Kilashandra Posted a Battle Recap: The Hills Were Alive........
it started just like any other day. A group of civic minded adventures banded together to bring the joyous news of Kiel's bid for a seat on the council to the brave defenders at Fort Salma. No sooner did we arrive and finish our first tale of how Keil managed to thwart the recent Atherblade attack, did word of trouble arrive by messenger. It seems that wherever I go, the chance for glory and adventure follows. Much to the disappointment of several station troops, Our adventuring group decided to venture forth and lend aid, diverting us from our noble quest to ensure Keil attains her rightful place on the Lion's Arch council...

Oldgoat Posted a Battle Recap: Excellent Teamwork
We went in with a little bit of knowledge, but there were some surprises. However, as a group, these folks were awesome. When we couldn't figure it out right away, we stepped back, did what had to be done and got it right the next time. Everyone did whatever was necessary to make this a good run. Thanks guys.

Kilashandra Posted a Battle Recap: Listen to the beat of our souls!
It was a glorious adventure! Kilashandra the Norn set out with a small group of adventurers, determined to conquer every dive in accursed orr. As we proceeded from Fort Trinity, the strength of her legend called out to others in the land, and soon she was joined by the small yet robust adventurer Jedgak, and uncommon Asura who's skill at traversing dangerous ground proved invaluable. Not only that, but he was an uncommon Asura, not once did any in the party hear him use the word "bookah" and he had none of the barbed replies most Asura are known for...

Dee Posted a Battle Recap: Ryokka's sPVP for Beginners
Informative, kind group of experience guild members showed support for Ryokka's event. All gave battle plan suggestions and tips. The hardest part was practice rounds. Turning the sword in at great leaders and peers just felt wrong. Running in battle with this group felt so safe and comforting. They all keep cool heads, stuck to battle plans and asked for help. Beginners luck and great leaders got me Top Player position. Thank You all. As a beginner, I showed up with my regular armor, did not retrait, or have special weapons...

Kilashandra Posted a Battle Recap: I must have killed more men than Cecil B. DeMille.
help needed: there was this uppidy asura that went and hit me until i was down, then he stuck a flag in me. Sir(s), I'd appreciate it if you could find it in your heart to to hunt him down and hang him up by his neck until he was dead.............and any mesmers you happen to come across..... (j/k) ;) A great time was had by all, several attendees had no idea how much fun spvp could be. I'll be attending a lot more events. (plus, it's relatively easy to get the pvp daily when playing with family)...

Oldgoat Posted a Battle Recap: An excellent adventure.
The Queen was in fact in danger and was kidnapped. Our heroes fought through the overwhelming odds and rescued her without the loss of a single life. Well done, heroes all. I bow to you. Even Logan was impressed, I heard him talking to the Queen and telling her he could not have done it without each and every one of you.

Oldgoat Posted a Battle Recap: What I learned
I learned that you need to keep your eyes open because sometimes a small group is a decoy and if you attack them it becomes an ambush. I learned that small groups tend to do better on smaller mission types. Don't try to assault a castle with 15 individuals, go after a supply depot or dolyak instead. I learned that if you swim close to the surface, your name gives you away if someone is keeping watch. I learned you can sneak in and damage a wall with a catapult and as long as there is a big battle going on at the door, you might actually get away with it...

Dee Posted a Battle Recap: Kilashandra's Labyrinthine Cliffs crystal hunt
Event was thrill ride of heart pounding, sweating palms, with high and low emotions. Kilashandra lead a wonderful event! Syrene Harmony, mighty Mesmer ported the group to tips of poles, top of wind mill and hairline cliffs. Kilashandra and Syrene Harmoney gave motivational talks at the perfect time. The event was not called till all participants had achievement of 40 crystals. The grand finale was the best dive ever. Thanks to Hateweaver for leading a party and Lady of the Mist who always jumped in to help participants...

Four of the easiest people to do a dungeon with. Varied knowledge, but willingness to learn, and an excellent team. If anyone is looking for a party, these guys are the best. thanks.

Ragmar Posted a Battle Recap: Run, Fog, Run!
This last Clubnight was absolutely hilarious! There was just some crazy stuff that was going on. The best part for me, however, was the final battle. We managed to drag a JQ zerg across the map, and got them to start fighting with a Blackgate zerg. We, of course, got smunched in the middle, but it was great! Lots of kills, lots of laughs. I love how in Gaiscioch we don't take everything super serious, we take it for fun. Winning is great, but laughter and memories last a lot longer than a weekly victory...

Ragmar Posted a Blog: The Beginning
"The Gaiscíoch hold honor, respect, integrity, and fellowship, over hierarchy and dictatorship." -Foglahda Snow fell lazily from the sky, coming to rest on the things below it. The ground of the frozen, the battlements of the keep, the heads of the defenders as they went about their tasks. The sky was blanketed with clouds, and the wind blew gently. It was bitter cold, and the sentries had wrapped themselves in thick woolen cloaks, as they stood by braziers burning on the walltops. The fires that were crackling merrily within them were the only things that gave a semblance of cheer to the otherwise dismal scene...

Briseadh Posted a Battle Recap: Well Done
Very well organized and good explanations to help those not as familiar with WvW and small group tactics. Would give you a token, but being an elder I can only give them to Fog. LOL! So will give you some cheering here. =)

Aingeal Posted a Battle Recap: Aingeal's WvW Conquest 7/1/2013
This was definitely my toughest night so far commanding. In the past, I've been pushed off of places, but never had the trouble that I had tonight in trying to capture anything. However, finally, when it most mattered at the end of the night, we were able to pull off some awesome maneuvers. It started with a golem rush into the lord room of BG's fully upgraded Bay so spook them. JQ flipped it after 20 minutes of turmoil, but that wasn't the end of the matter. We got three mesmers hidden from JQ inside the now paper Bay that were never found...

Morigana Posted a Battle Recap: Pooka's Lowland Assault
Pooka spurred us on in SOR this evening and made taking Lowlands his primary, single minded, obsessive objection. As is witnessed by our long list of achievements for the evening we defended, we captured, we generally disrupted the enemy at all possible turns over the entire breadth and length of the SOR map and we blindly followed Pooka into Lowlands over 1/2 a dozen times. It should also be noticed in the chronicles of our achievements that not on one single occasion did we actually take Lowlands...

Butterflyfairy Posted a Battle Recap: Quest for World Completion
Thank you for all who assisted in the conquest of downing the champion in Malchor's Leap last evening; it was epic! Your heroism was like none other... fighting til the finish, dancing on the corpse, and living to fight another day... Go Gaiscioch!

Fiddlez Posted a Battle Recap: Fireista's final lunge
Upon hearing Fireista's plea to attain world completion, Auta Ra Blalil, Ragmar, and Ms Linda along with one other (sorry name will be corrected later) headed to the Lights Waypoint in Malachor's Leap to fend off the Champion guarding Fireista's last needed Skill Point. Many died, were resurrected only to perish again. But through it all the champion was felled and the mighty part was there to witness that glorious symbol appear in Fireista's Nameplate symbolizing that World Completion had been attained...
