Smitty Posted a Battle Recap: Smitty's WvW Reset 1/3 - Rabbit Season... Duck Season...
SF Season... Kaineng Season... SF SEASON... KAINENG SEASON... It was open season on BOTH SF and Kaineng last night as we slammed the Sabres home through the hearts of both servers. With a total of 15 keeps taken over the course of the evening, it was evident that we were keeping both maps completely swiss cheese. Division of the main mapforce, and home map scouting was the key. We had a very strong force back on home map keeping the havoc groups of both servers at bay (no pun intended) as we traipsed our zerg with havocs of our own over their home maps...

So we got a nice little group together to run the vet version of Fungal Grotto last night. Was pretty fun, but of course it provided plenty of its vet challenge. The first mini-boss we downed after a few attempts. Pretty much the name of the game on this guy was stay out of the poison circles of doom! Then we got to the first "main" boss, Gamyne Bandu. Now this is a proper vet dungeon boss! I have been through a few vet dungeons, but so far she is by far the most difficult. The mechanics on her are pretty taxing and really require you to be on your toes...

It was a great week all wrapped up in a big GREEN bow. Thank you for joining me on the battle field again today as we held strong to our PPT lead and fought hard against Kn & SF right till the very end. I know we have all put some very long hours into that well deserved score & I hope to see you all out there again this week for more of the same. I can't always pick up nights like I used to, but I will be out there when ever I can to help, be it to lead or to follow. Thank you all for staying up all night with me and celebrating the New Year on the Borderlands. Wow, it was good to see the 695 PPT again & again - I know that several of us took screen shots to post. The best part for me was Way Pointing their Garrison after successfully defending it against them all night long. Great job and I will see you all tonight as well as tomorrow. I am keeping my fingers (and toes) crossed that we can hold on to the lead this week, but win or lose, we had a good time together and some pretty great fights in WvW...

Smitty Posted a Battle Recap: Smitty's Sabres 12/30 - We're all in this together!
Despite the late start, the Sabres were anxious and chomping at the bit to cause some damage in WvW, and once more as their commander, I was not disappointed! I am seeing more and more commander tags on the map again. You have no idea how incredibly uplifting this is to see! Not only due to more people sharing the load of splitting up the zerg and taking more objectives at once, but also that more people are willing to try and get their feet wet. It makes the other commander's jobs incredibly more fun! That being said, the Sabres had their freedom to roam around and take what they want...

This time it was a by request run and we actually JUMPED the puzzles. It was so much fun that I will try to do it again next week. Thank you all for joining me again today for more Jump Puzzles galore. I think we have a good work around for the very buggy Buried Archives JP chest. While not a Jump Puzzle, the Hope Falls chest does drop the elusive Golden Ball Ornament. I will be adding a few more Jump Puzzles to the mix next month and for those of you that care to stick around next time, this afternoon we did several more jump puzzles by request of the group. I am not sure what they will do with the monthly JP achievement in Jan, but you can still get empyreal fragments to feed your Star of Gratitude as well as other goodies...

This was truly a perfect day for me to come back out for WvW. I would like to thank you all for joining me in the fights. I am not sure that Kaineng or Sorrow's Furnace had as good of a time as we did or appreciated our great big Sanctum of Rall HUGS that we gave them all over the maps today. The didn't defend much after the great open field fights that we engaged them in & won. I really love how our server is pulling together and is slowly but surely recovering our presence on the Borderlands, each one of you that comes out to fight makes a difference! I am very sorry that I didn't make it home in time from my appointment to run this event today. The good news is that the Dr has me on new thyroid medications (she even agreed with me on the one to try). I am on the way to the pharmacy now to pick them up. It should take a few days for them to get into my system, so I will play it by ear for the Friday event. Thank you all for joining me today, if you still haven't started the Warming Grawnk's Heart, please send me a whisper and I will try to help you get through it - it takes 3 days to complete and You won't be able to get the ornaments until that part is finished. All of us that had the Holiday Display Case were able to get the whole ornament collections done today. There are a couple of titles, achievement points and other goodies, including a Wintersday Tree in your home instance once you have completed the both parts of the scavenger hunt...

Today, I romped with the guild to kill some dolmens. I still have over 100 before I get the Dolmen Crusher achievement (or whatever it's properly called). I then printed off the list of General locations for dolmens, and was able to get one of the 6 I was missing -- The Ever Open Eye in Shadowfen. I still have 3 in Deshaan, 1 in Shadowfen and 1 in The Rift. Trying to clear those dolmens solo in The Rift isn't all that easy, though. Still working on Monster Hunter. I'm very close to getting my Daedra Slayer done...
