There's been a lot of discussion happening about the WvW Restructuring and new WvW System. Some of the key points are:
- The Addition of Alliances - We will be joining the Sanctum of Rall Alliance
- Remove current worlds (servers) and dynamically create worlds - Instead of servers, alliances will be paired up to form dynamically created worlds on a rotating timeframe. These worlds will be compiled based on playtime, commander playtime, and some behind the scenes scoring of alliances.
- Players Choose a single WvW Guild - This will determine which world they become a part of. This can be changed but it will only change after the current pairing is over.
We highly recommend that you look over the WvW Restructuring post and feel free to leave your thoughts. While I am sad to see Sanctum of Rall go, I know it will live on through us and our alliance. This overall is a good thing as it offers ArenaNet more power to fill in the gaps of playtimes and optimize the servers to have epic battles at every level. Dominant WvW guilds will get pitched against other dominant WvW Guilds. I for one am counting down the days till this system launches. It's a much needed improvement and gives us some pretty cool features like Alliance Chat.
