Arty Posted a Blog: Standing at death's door
Standing before the giant doors of Hammerknell Fortress Arty fidgeted nervously with her totem. The cool breeze of Moonshade Highlands ruffled her mountaineer gear. She deeply inhaled and relished the fresh air around her. She wasn’t completely sure what lay ahead of her but she knew it would be nothing pleasant. “These doors were purposefully sealed,” she told herself. “There is a reason why there is rumored markings on the walls that read, ‘Destroy the wheel. Never let them leave…’ she reminded herself...

Tashwen Posted a Blog: A Strange Love Pt 1
He peered through the trees. She was there waiting for him. He looked around carefully before stepping out into the open. They were far off the road that bridged Silverwood and the Moonshade highlands. Far enough that they would not be discovered. "You came for me!" she said softly, "I can't believe you really came for me!" Her black hair peeked out from under the mask. She was tall and slender but not as tall as the elf in front of her. He stepped forward and said in a gruff voice, "I told you I would take you away from that horrible outfit...

Manluas Posted a Blog: Inquisition Reigns
The sky filled with clouds, lightening dancing across the sky, two men stand in a grove with blood all over the grass, and the trees battle-scarred. One man is a tall Elven man wearing white armor with small spikes along the shoulders, gloves, belt and boots, the other a smaller human looking man on his knees with a sigil carved into his shoulder, with a faceless mask covering his head. "Tell me heretic, why are you here" The Elven man said "I shall tell you nothing!" The faceless one said...

Manluas Posted a Blog: Inquisitoral Missive
**In old archaic writing** To the Cardinals of Sanctum- The gloves have been taken off of the subject, and they are on the way to your custody, and to place them into the Vault of Heresy. I shall keep watch over the events that will transpire in these lands over the next few days. I do not see any reason beyond the gloves to place the subject under investigation, but the danger of the subject's soul and body becoming corrupted from the cursed items is still a possibility. Once the subject has healed and rested, I shall observe the subject, and then I shall make my decision if I shall place the subject in question under investigation.

Marmar Posted a Blog: Marmar's Field Journal: Entry 2: Digging Further
I was charged with visiting the Prince of the Elves, his lordship Prince Hylas Aelfwar. During the civil war of the Mathosians, he'd been firm about the elves staying out of the skirmish...and I agreed with him. But as the fighting in Mathosia went on, I learned of the horrors that had befallen what would later be known as Scarwood Reach. Those beautiful granitewood trees...all cut down for that man's war machines. Not a trace of the glorious trees remained, just pitiful roots. I changed my stance on the elven involvement after that...

Fearful Posted a Battle Recap: First night for Friday Night Raiders!
The night got off to a late start but went on without fail! After all the members were present and accounted for we set off for our first Raid in The Drowned Halls! After a few last minute adjustments we went into the First fight to take on Assault Commander Jorb. This fight was one for the record books! As a newly formed team the group performed with amazing strength and determination. As I recall we only took two deaths which is very good for a newly formed group with three members never seeing this fight before! On this fight Flint got a new epic rifle that he boasted about through the next fight because of how AWSOME it was! And I do agree it was pretty snazzy looking and did help his dps dramaticly...

Ainet Posted a Blog: Knocking on Death's Door
Sore and tired, Ainet had finally made her way through the undead elite and stood facing the portal to the River of Souls. It's swirling mass reminded her of a great maw eager to devour any who dared to enter. She nibbled on some rations as she contemplated if this was truly the right thing. "She doesn't remember the man she used to love; the man I used to be. Is it better this way?" she thought to herself. "She's happy and he seems a good man. Should I just accept what is and take solace in her happiness?" Her hammer's head flared as if answering her...

Fiddlez Posted a Guide: Fiddlez guide to Addons
I know the subject of weither to use addons or not is a hot subject with some, but I am personally a believer in rifts addon system. So I thought I'd do a quick write up of my personal picks for the must have addons to get or watch. Note: I use the curse client and have gotten all my addons from there due to the progam notifying you if an addon needs updating. 1: Herald's Buff Warden Madd Patch - buffwatcher Pro's - Keeps important buffs (can be set up to watch raid buffs as well) right upfront so you know if you get debuffed or they are getting close to timing out...

Arty Posted a Blog: Arty's Recipes - Quick and Easy Chicken Pot Pie
After a long days battle in Hammerknell Fortress one doesn't want to be caught slaving over the stove cooking a meal for themselves and their fellow Guardians. As much as Arty loves a home cooked meal from scratch she also appreciates short cuts for those nights she's not in the mood to spend hours in the kitchen. Quick and Easy Chicken Pot Pie 5 boneless, skinless chicken thighs (or 3 chicken breasts if you prefer) 2 cans cream of potato soup (or any cream soup you desire) 1 bag of frozen vegetables (which ever mix is your favorite!) 1/4 cup chicken broth 1 tsp dried thyme 1 tsp pepper 2 tsp chicken seasoning 1 box refrigerated pie crust (store bought pie crust often comes with 2 pie crusts) Instructions: - Set oven to 350 degrees (let it preheat while you prepare! That way you can pop the pie in the minute you finish putting the ingredients together) - Poach the chicken thighs on the stove top (for extra flavor you can poach the chicken in chicken broth and throw in some cut up onion)...

Arty Posted a Blog: Then and Now
As Arty approached the entrance of the Chancel of Labors she glanced over her shoulder to the frozen lake behind her. Its jagged formations, resembling monstrous claws, were a painful reminder of her previous life – a life of enslavement and death under the dragon Crucia. Before the Age of Dragons, Arty was a skilled metal smith who specialized in armor. Like many other dwarves she was infused with the spirit of creation. She loved climbing the mountains of Iron Pine Peak to mine the various types of ore and brought her treasure back to her families forge to create armor that would protect the ones she loved...

Ainet Posted a Blog: Love beyond the Ward
Her armor was dented and bloody from the hundreds of blows it took. Some of that blood was hers, most was not. Her shield still shone brightly in the day's fading light; enchanted to be a symbol those around her could rally to. Though she had been at the front line most of the day, her voice was still loud and strong. Instilling courage and strength to the rest of us. We needed that strength, for the armies of Regulos had come to Sanctum. With sword and axe, hammer and mace they fell around us...

Kadiskas Posted a Blog: Being Prepared
Kadiskas was becoming a fine warrior. As the years went by she would train with her father, Keveras, in the training ring everyday. An immortal, capable of communing with living and dead alike. Seer of spirits and otherworldly things. Beholder of what will never be and what could still happen. And yet...my family was not beside me. No one of the village returned except for my sister Shesa. Of course I could only be proud for a moment since it seemed I was the only one the Vigil felt they needed...

Bloodshryke Posted a Blog: The Origins & self-naming of The Bloodshyrke of Gaiscioch
To know me it may help you to know some history about how I selected my name after being returned to Telara by the divines. For context it helps to know my passions from before my original death. I was a student of nature, and birds prey specifically. The Shrike is the family name for a population of several related species of birds, and that of the largest genus, Lanius, is derived from the Latin word for "butcher", and some shrikes were also known as "butcher birds" because of their feeding habits...
