Qlorn Posted a Battle Recap: My gosh ikea furniture store ESO AvA experience from 3rd person view (my preferred camera angle) (tm)
When Nevitt's told me about "Gosh-Keya" I was instantly annoyed. So of course I had to see what this annoyance had to do with dragging my old ass out into the middle of nowhere without my back brace and only my healing cane named "Getthehelloffmylawnibur."
To make matters even more annoying, I had to walk, run, and step through.... behind this grotesquely over developed trail marking beast of a horse. Fortunately for me, the rider of said beast, carried our groups
leader.... who was also the target of Getthehellofmylawnibur's healing powers...

Briseadh Posted a Battle Recap: Jet takes on the last main boss solo
Well, we lived for part of this but Jet wound up the only one standing. He did one of the most amazing kiting with a bow on the guy and almost had him until he managed to run by his healing bots. He actually kited for several minutes. This was on our first time in because well Jet never managed to loot the deed the first time. Take two required no kiting and everyone was finally done with the dungeon quest.

Coaxochdas Posted a Battle Recap:
The AD veterans are harassing us. Cutting off resources is doable because even though we are low level we can strike FAST AND BE GONE. I do not mind dying. I have learned so much. The GSCH leaders are good. I ran a lot of raids before I realized what was happening and the impromptu raids did NOT know to kill tower mages first, did NOT approach on stealth, did NOT leash pets, just did the best they could but were basicly clueless. Every single GSCH has been (as the kids say) AWESOME...

Rev Posted a Blog: We are Sparta! (a little movie reference)
So a group of GSCH decide to help SoR on the wvw reset last night. We wanted to make sure our own Border Lands was well claimed before we went out to harass the other servers. While we were getting things squared away . . . a call went out: "Massive attack on our garrison, please come to help!" When we arrived, there was a huge zerg of Borlis Pass storming through the gates. We were probably outnumbered at least 3-1.
I fell rather quickly in the first skirmish. Our Keep Lord had fallen and it was just a matter of time before the garrison was lost...

Tatharhir Posted a Battle Recap: The Flame Of The East: Vol II
Great run tonight for the east coast AvA weekly event!
One of the main issues we have in comparison to other group are simple numbers, tonight we fielded around 50 brothers and sisters and each and every one of you should be proud of the work to did, all of you followed the orders given to the T and as a result we had a very smooth group dynamic going on, from quickly taking the first keep to keeping on your toes and downing the emperor and their mooks, I could not have been more proud to lead you all, a job well done, and looking forward to bigger and better things on Thursdays to come...

GradyLeagallow Posted a Battle Recap: Shattered Empires make for many formers
So first run with my sons over the shoulder toon "Red Wyvern" in a non zerg havok group.
I was optimistic because I joined Doreth early in Club Gaiscioch AVA early on Tuesday with great success.
(Though learning that Melee low level needs to wait a lot maybe I should pick up a bow).
We got to practice patience and crouching again wished for a faster horse.
But what I realized was there are A LOT of former emperors killing us, and in Hopesfire it seemed like AD and DC were in cahoots in beating us to smithies...

Kitty Posted a Battle Recap: Ganked Spanked
Wonderful event was made of wonderful... and events!!
Woah, those vets level 10 on both sides are really mean. I once tried to sneak around a rock while I was alone, only to find THREE rank 10 Veteran to then crushed me like an itty bitty fuzzy grape :c
Besides that, the event was loads of fun, more than one team is key to success because even when they are rank 10 vets, they can't be everywhere at the same time.

Doreth Posted a Battle Recap: Vet10 invasion
thanx a lot to everyone that came out, was a difficult night for sure, having AD and DC teaming us down with there vet10 was interesting to say the least..... think we manage to get there attention still, killed them a few times and force them to regroup in larger numbers to keep us from killing them again.... hope you all had fun and for those who were new to AvA manage to learn a few tactics and tricks.. just imagine what will happen once we have more higher lvl player, will give them a good run

Alana Posted a Battle Recap: A Pony and A Club...Club Gaiscioch that is!
Kudos to all our leaders with Club Gaiscioch last night! It was proven that we can have a very large raid group (144 to be exact) while managing RC protocol by listening and following orders/direction from our leaders. I learned that it was also possible to keep my eye out for instruction in group chat due to the fact that it wasn't possible to have ALL the leaders speaking at once in RC. I confess that I absolutely love the strategy of AvA! Great job to all who led and all who participated. We are going to be an even greater force to contend with once more of us rank to Veteran!

Kitty Posted a Battle Recap: I want a pony! >_<
Seriously, not having a horse in AvA is a handicap.
The event was loads of fun, with thrilling battles, action, watching people letting their hairs flow in the wind as they ride through the glen firing arrows into the sunset!! :B>
But really, I want a pony, my legs hurt just by watching my character run to fort to fort to fort to farm to mine to a fort again :3

Aingeal Posted a Battle Recap: And Siegerazer Keeps Giving
Ever had a moment on a borderland where you find yourself with barely enough numbers to set off the break-out Siegerazer event while running with at least triple the opposition? Ever go to take your spawn tower, only to see it decked to the nines with arrow carts, ballistas, and enemy forces? Ever really want to take just ten people and pop a thirty man group in the mouth over and over for over thirty minutes? If you've ever found yourself in those two positions and salivating over the third, then you missed out on some great fun in Northern Shiverpeaks Borderlands...

Rainingblood Posted a Blog: RP Character Profile- Aelfgrim Frostborn
Aelfgrim Frostborn
Priestess of Arkay
The Nordic chamber is silent and lit with an ambient glow of candle light. The air feels heavy and damp on the skin and is filled with aromas of burning candles, incense, and choking soot from the torches beyond the far door; further into the crypt. The stone walls are moist, but clean and lined with at least twelve bookcases full of neatly stacked books of various topics. A deep breath slightly burns the lungs, but reveals the underlying smell of decay meant to be disguised by the burning wax...
