In Loving Memory of Sandra "Nona" Starkey (1948-2019)

A Legend of our family has moved on. She's on her way to the pearly gates to secure us the best plot. She'll be cooking up some goblin stew for us for sure. Nona was member #5 of our community. She joined us in Dark Age of Camelot at a point when I was simply searching to start my community. She saw me through the darkest times of my life and encouraged me to keep pushing forward. She is the only member of our history to have a significant part in all 5 chapters. She never asked for power or promotions just put it all out there to help others and ensure they're having a good time. She found out that she had stage 4 cancer last year but that didn't stop her. She kept pushing forward, spending time with her friends and family and joining us on many adventures.

Nona really loved World of Warcraft. She tried to convince me to bring the family there for years, 15 to be exact. When World of Warcraft Classic launched I finally said ok let's give it a try and see what happens. Nona was overjoyed and even rolled an Alliance character for once. She joined us on several of our first community events and frequented the guild chat channel. As things progressed Nona faced her fate with bravery and a bit of humor. She wanted to make sure we all knew that she cherished her time with us and regretted nothing. She told me that she led a good life and was happy with the way it came to a close. I had never seen such bravery and contentment in such a dire situation before and it definitely made a mark on me.
