Rayko Posted a Guide: "Pistol Whip" Thief Build: WvW focus
This is a very effective burst dps build. When executed correctly will annihilate most other players in 3-4 seconds. I am level 80 but my gear is not tweaked out yet, I still have slotted armor pieces and a level 45 ring, so I looked forward to seeing how much more I do when I get respectable set of gear in working order.
The build centers around using Sword/pistol ability "Pistol Whip" twice in a row with no cast time, this coupled with the traits that cause steal to do damage(i.e. mug)is a very HIGH DPS burst of damage that will drop most players almost faster than they can react, and if they do survive for some reason you will be able to make short work of them...

Miraj Posted a Blog: A Calling for Raiders
Many of ue have had the fortunate opportunity to experience various raids (GP, HK, RoTP to name a few), with exceptional leaders such as Tashwen, Vay, Moksoon, Suluos, and Hosfi. Unfortunately, many of us are unable to join in due to real life situations and schedules.
I too have tasted the thrill of raiding and desire for more.
What I am looking for are individuals who also want to continue raiding, learning more about and from these raids.
If you could please list your name and times that your are available, I will do my best to try and schedule various raids in an attempt to accomodate these schedules...

Cedar Posted a Blog: A Few Words on WvW
Hail Gaiscioch!
I just came off of another excellent guild WvW event, where we really stuck it to Darkhaven. Well done all!
However, there are a few things that I think deserve mention, to help us be even more effective and ensure success.
The first is "chatter" in RaidCall. As a social group, it is natural that we want to talk to one another, and who wouldn't want to get in on such an opportunity with so many members present at once to talk to! But "chatter" also has a darkside. It can make important directions from the Commander and aides hard to hear...

Konyth Posted a Battle Recap: Not very elegent for a first run, but successful (Story Mode)
During the evening of 9/22, Sol Denal, Vianne Enaj, Akeyiro, Thadron Holmstrom (guild applicant) and I ventured into Ascalon Catacombs (story mode). It was my first time in a Guild Wars 2 dungeon. We managed to slog through the dungeon and get it done.

Flik Posted a Guide: Charr RPing guide
(This is a copy/paste from the forums)
To any of you roleplayers who wish to play as a Charr, know that Charr is a very, very strict race to play as. From how your Charr acts all the way down to it's very name. Let's go over a few terms that are specific to the Charr. Curtesy of http://guildwars2roleplay.wikispaces.com and http://wiki.guildwars2.com for some direct quotes.
The Charr: The charr are a race of large, savage, feline creatures that occupy much of eastern Tyria. They have renounced all gods as false and instead view all of life, from magic to combat, with a hard, cynical eye...

Nora Posted a Blog: It's been a while.
I haven't been an active player for a little bit. There have been some big, but very happy, changes in my life.
The past six months I've spent planning my wedding, which went down on the 8th of September without a hiccup.
With things settling down in my home life, I expect to be free to play more often.

Xaris Posted a Guide: Abyssal Precipice Expert
This is a guide to Abyssal Precipice Expert.
Let's start with Group composition, You will want 1 tank, 1 Healer and 2 DPS, the support role character can choose to play support, or to DPS depending on if healing is sufficient and your group is looking for more DPS. You will begin by clearing the trash all the way to the first boss called Kale Andrenos,
Boss: Kaler Andrenos
This boss is very simple, Tank will hold him about where he stands moving out of any area effect he may spawn this area effect is going to also become a pillar of ice that the group may hide behind to avoid getting instantly killed by his ability "Icy Explosion" alternatively the group may hide behind the cave entrance to line of sight the boss...

Kalec Posted a Blog: Life as an Asura Enigneer
Rata Sum, a weird home of all mechanical things and knowledge.
Being small and agile is what I have going for myself. I play with all the fun gadgets, like the flamethrower, grenades and big ol' bombs.
People laugh when they see me drop a barrel, larger than be. They wonder what I'm doing. "Party time, Kalec brought beer for us" Nope, crap. we're all gonna die.
I even laugh when I see it explode and bodies fly everywhere.
I know it sounds mean, but hey. Why not leave a lasting impression...

Celaide Posted a Battle Recap: Epic Defense of Eth Hills!
9 held out against 20-30! We arrived with the enemy already at the inner gate. Fortunately they had no siege. A couple Arrow Carts softened them greatly. They finally got a ram in place, after 15-20 mins. With the gate coming down, we fell back to the Keep room. For the next 6-8 minutes GSCH held the room from all comers, 9 against 40+ (new wave of attackers brought the ram)! Despite their numbers, cowardice kept them from storming and clearing the room. After 30 minutes of defense, help finally arrives...
