Greetings Everyone,
Over careful evaluation of our Guild Wars 2 experiment of requiring people to log into the website every 45 days to keep their "In Game" membership active we have decided to roll this across all of our titles and make this an official policy across the board. This will go into effect next week so be sure to log into your accounts this week if you have not already.
One of the largest issues we are having is keeping communication, such as this very notice (which will likely be missed by many of those that are playing RIFT), or other important notices, from ever being seen simply because people are not visiting the site. In addition they are missing out on the ability to claim participation, use the marketplace, and participate in our family activities and events.
By enforcing this policy we can ensure that those who call Gaiscioch home are actually Gaiscioch in the sense that they not only have our name above their head but are actively taking part in our community. Now that being said, if at any time, a member is removed from the family because they forgot to log in this month, they can simply ask for another invite in game via our Tuatha channel or the Guild Finder system. This allows us to ensure that our roster is filled with active participating members, and also ensures that our members don't feel left out of the loop.
Here's how it will work:
- Unregistered Members:
- Will be removed after 45 days of not logging into game.
- Registered Members:
- Will be removed after 45 days of not logging into the website.
- Will recieve notification via email 5 days prior to removal so that they can log in and prevent being removed.
It is my hope that this will help connect us together as a family and prevent a lot of the fracturing currently taking place with the RIFT half of our family. You can't call somewhere your home if you never actually visit.
Foghladha
