They are winning our current WvW matchup, but we are ranked ahead of them in the Guru unoffical rankings:

If we come in third on this matchup we will likely drop down into the "C" rankings again. On a brighter note though, we've moved up an entire rank over the past couple of weeks.
This will be much easier when we can get people on the battlefield. Don't stress too much about rankings. Slow and steady win the race. If your at the top the only place to go is down.
I've had huge wait times to get into the battle grounds. I went to bed before the 2 hour wait was over. It's kinda upsetting tho. Plus there are people who just leave thier computer running in World Vs World. There have been plenty of times when I've gotten on, and looked around the spawn to see people just camped out in the corner, afk for hours. We WILL get there tho. I know our server has some life. We just don't have 24/7 round the clock forces in the field.
Yeah, I've noticed the afk camping too. One time I zoned in after about a 30min wait (not bad compared to some) and saw just shy of 30 people all standing around in the starting area, not moving or anything. And I'm sure its not just our server, but it would be nice if Anet put some sort of anti-afk code in. Not really fair to the people that want to actually contribute.
Are there any plans to add more guild WvWvW events? I've logged in a couple times and could not for the life of me find the "fight".
There is an AFK timer. It's about 15 minutes. A lot of the time its people who quickly take a break for a couple minutes in between doing stuff. The afk kicks in if you don't physically move your character (Just typing in chat won't cut it) ie they just spent 3 hours attacking and defending and need to go AFK for a few. Also I've went AFK while waiting a few minutes for guild events to start. I've been forced to respawn while waiting for a rez in jumping puzzles because I was coordinating where I was and simply chatting when the AFK time kicked in. The last time I missed my rez by about 30 seconds and had to restart the puzzle and get by all the defenders again.
@SamVimes Are you logged into raidcall? When there's stuff going on, people go down to the WvW channels and you can see who's in what world and they can tell you in voice. Even if you don't have a mic, you can "chat" into the channel and someone should be able to answer you in voice (or even chat) about where the current fighting is.
Thanks Saren, I do have raidcall, and will be sure to check the WvW channels next time I que up for the fight.
Oh sure I know about that afk timer. Problem is, it's really easy to get around just by jumping or running in a small circle every 15 min. Factor in bots and things of that nature and it can get out of hand. There isn't anything in place to actually make people pvp once in there and that's what I was really getting at. I even read a post on reddit (I think) about someone not liking the queue, so once he got in, he would pvp for a bit, and then go to the crafting area or the trading company and do that for a while just to avoid having to queue again when he decided he wanted to pvp. And on top of that, several people commented like 'yeah I do that too' or 'thats a good idea, ill have to try it' etc. And all the people that do these things aren't capping or defending objectives. It would be nice if they could make it so that the people using up spots were actually pvping.
