'The Pale Tree' Lore

Hi everyone,

I made a new sylvari the other day and came across an NPC by the name of 'Ventari'. He didn't look important, but I looked him up and oh boy was I in for a lore treat. I found him in front of me after creating my character talking to 3 dreamers who are interested in his wisdom.

Ventari is/was an elder centaur of a tribe in Maguuma Jungle (GW1 & GW2). He wasn't the violent type and didn't like the ways of his own centaur people or the humans. So he decided to make camp elsewhere in the Tarnished Coast. Once he got there he met a human names Ronan. This guy is the one who actually obtained the seed that grew The Pale Tree.

Ronan was a member of the Shining Blade (Kryta's Royal Guard). He was called to battle, got seperated, and then found a cavern that housed the seeds. Ronan took a seed the size of his fist and kept it as a souvenir to show to his daughter. Upon arrival to his village he was devastated to find his family murdered and village completely in ruin. After burying his family he planted the seed on their graves...

Dat run doe

To start off, I couldn't help but think about all the running our characters do in game. How many miles do we actually run in game? 8| I took a 4.63 mile trek down to the ocean. I wasn't overly exerted, but damn, if I had to be a video game character and run everywhere I'd be pissed D': Here's to our meticulously coded friends in game *Cheers*
