Eluveittie Posted a Blog: Leading to victory in a no win battle.
There are many difficult things to be overcome when leading others. Fear of failure, desertion of those who were once willing to follow, being branded an incompetent leader. All of these can lead to a disastrous outcome. The real trick to leading is to LISTEN to what your followers want, OBSERVE the reality of your given situation, STRATEGY for possible outcomes and TACT for handling things beyond your control. So yes to be a leader you must be LOST. After much reflection and having seen the goings on in the guild regarding the way things are done; I took it upon myself to host events due to the lack of scheduled events posted on the guild website...

Garfiode Posted a Battle Recap: A hard fought battle.
We had to take them on even though we were one short. We started off by taking on Torn Fur, we knew from the beginning that he would be the easy one. We then made our way across the decks of the ships to the Legendary Balgren Creedbreaker, he took a bit more effort to kill. After that we headed down to Andal and his minions. The first try we failed at, but the gods saw value in our effort and let us have another try at Andel. The second battle with Andal was long faught and hard, but in the end we paravailed...

Everyone has settled in with the mark yourself system which really speeds things up. Hope everyone got great loot. Will see you all next week (same BAT time same BAT channel. da V

Caludon Posted a Battle Recap: The Pack of Guardians on the prowl
It was a night of torment for foes in the Mists as the intrepid band of Guardians from GSCH prowled the Borderlands. The nearly permanently swift group of stalwarts shouted their way across the lands taking towers and repelling enemy invaders. The fealess Pookah, transformed into a giant Golem, led the band in and out of danger. The band was helpful for Guardians who were unfamiliar with the frontline shouting ways and were aided by a few other supporters as they traversed the Borderlands, wreaking havoc and carrying the GSCH flag to victory.

Varder Posted a Battle Recap: Sunday Morning Coffe and crifting
Another fun morning running with the guild. We started with 14 people and finished with 19. Tears seem to explode in our face this morning as several time a rift popped just as someone was about to use their lure? Creepy crudes got Louhi again this morning :(... Using the Mark Yourself system is working great. We finished 25 rift in 2 hours with time out for a bio. I used the "minor rift" to capture the 6 invasions we did. Good loot, 207 points and lots of coffee, great way to spend a Sunday Morning...

Intp Posted a Battle Recap: TD Run
I did not really think I was ready to tank TD tonight...but did it! Woot! -The Dragon, Spider and Council went very smooth. Last boss, realized a bit late that when I engaged the boss not only did I have the big red circular AOE...there was another AOE that spawned under me. After figuring out that I had to move out of the simultandeous stupid went well. I was blowing taunts on the boss and didn't have a taunt up to grab both the dragon and the Phoenix when they popped so the dragon ran around too much...

Intp Posted a Battle Recap: Moar tank training!
Thanks Sylese, LD, Tessa and Muppet! Good run, found a better pace. Darkening Deeps: Draw the mobs together in the big area running down the ramp and kill easily. I need to jump down from the bridge to grab the mobs under the bridge they keep cleaving everyone in the face down there. -Sneaky mob, I'm thinking run right at them with Aoe taunt to prevent assassination of the healer. -On big wolfy, hard to get him to move, charge seemed to work best to get his attention and get him to start moving again...

Intp Posted a Battle Recap: Monday 7.10-2017 RIFT Adventures: Zone Invasions
Monday 7.10-2017 RIFT Adventures: Zone Invasions Monday saw Fog lead the Rift family on a wild gallivant across Telara on our traditional Monday Rift Adventures. We track events using rift.events or similar and run, port, summon, rally and fall our way from zone to zone closing rifts, killing invasions and other objectives until the Zone Event boss spawns and mow them down. -Make sure you Mentor down to your appropriate level when you port around. It's safe to be within 5 levels (may be a bit more) but get the most loot and rewards if you are lower level...

Intp Posted a Battle Recap: Mage Tank Training
Big appreciation to Syl, Muppet, Mal, Zoe and moral/tactical support from LD :) for their epic patience and helping me learn Tanking through the Temple of Ankhet experts. -We ran Temple, Fortress, Darkening Deeps. -I had major crashes on the Temple Pillar boss. Depsite this the team was able to survive long enough for me to relog and complete the boss! I had run this instance dozens of times, even on the Ultra graphics settings with no problem, but I had recently added the KBM (King Boss Mod) add on...

Intp Posted a Battle Recap: Varder's Crifting and Coffee = Crofting runs!
Q: What could be better than Coffee, Crafting and Rift? A: A Crifting Fellowship with the Gaischioch family in Ashenfell for fun and loot! The Stats: Crifts Run: 25 Motes with no IRC's: 5 Motes with IRC's: 64 Celestial Matrix with no IRC's: 0 Celestial Matrix with IRC's: 4 Marking Tip: As part of the raid management we mark ourselves if we have a lure to let the leadership know we have one. A suggestion is to put the a number indicating how many Lures you intend to use you can easily change this as a countdown as you use your lures e...

Intp Posted a Battle Recap: El's TD Grinds: Getting the gear!
LD was our apprentice "Tank In Training" for this run and did a great job and is sharpening his skills on the 3rd Encounter! We are getting very close to completing this with this group! Sustains: -Steadily increasing single target DPS on the dragon when it is on the ground. -No wipes due to standing in red on the first boss, generally way better raid awareness for the entire group. -Adds are getting mowed down as soon as they come out, great target phase shifting by the group. -2nd Encounter, Tarjulia, the Spider boss...

Intp Posted a Battle Recap: Shady lead us into a Nightmare...Rift that is!
Shady lead us into a Nightmare...Rift that is! We got up to at least level 157! This put us half-way through the Guild quest to kill 1200+ Nighmare rift. We found a randomly spawned Nightmare rift and milked it for all it was worth! This gave tons of planarite which are needed for the Tennebrean Amenders, which are needed for Celestial Crafting and upgrades! Great job Shady! -INTP

Intp Posted a Battle Recap: Full Guild run of TD on the spur of the moment! Exciting times!
DC and LD tanked us through TD. DC provided guidance and tips for LD as he progressed through the encounters and he did great. We had some issue on the 3rd encounter that resulted in some instakills. LD and DC are working on figuring out what's going on with that. -What I liked is we had Guildies who don't always come out join us to help fill out the raid, even those who had no more Individual Charges and a self proclaimed "Dimensioneer" who still did a good job and will be even better prepared if they decide to come out again...

Intp Posted a Battle Recap: LD Dungeon Tank Runs
LD tanked for us, I struggled with heals and cleanses with coaching from Syl. We were able to farm Fortress twice which many needed for their upgrade. We burned down Scarn. Muppets new spec was cranking his DPS! Jarren was cranking out consistent dps as usual. -Had a Bleed on tank in the Tower stage one instance, need to look up if that can be cleansed someway. -Had a great time learning, we were running in roles that we weren't necessarily in our comfort zone and everyone did a great job in their role...

Intp Posted a Battle Recap: Thursday Night TD Runs with DC: Slow but Steady - Keep On Progressing.
Slow but Steady: Wow, what a difference some practice can make. For the most part, other than some off tank coaching on the 2nd encounter, DC was largely able to just tank while the raid followed through on the mechanics and dps with little need for a explanation of the fights. However, if you are new into the raid group, please ask for any clarifications that may improve your dps or survive-ability. After Action Review: -1st Encounter: When the dragon is on the ground, that is the priority targets...

Fog and Varder led two nearly full raids across Telara for Open World events and bosses! Before the fight we assembled and here were a few items we discussed some mechanics and the website (market section). We got started in Dendrome with the Open World Bosses: 3 Zone Bosses (with Weekly Quests): These 3 weekly quest bosses offer a fun challenge and the following rewards: -450 Infinity Stones -Dendrome Raider’s Cache that contains approx 200-300 Empyreal Slayer’s Marks + a rare chance at gear that is Expert/Tier 1 level...

Varder Posted a Battle Recap: Crifting Recap 7-2-17
Holiday weekend crifting saw 19 guildies ban together, coffee-in-hand to complete 26 crifting rifts. Rift tears seemed a little light at the beginning but increased with time. The new mark-yourself system for lures is working great. Discord chat was lively as always and as this is a casual run is always encouraged. IF YOU ARE LEVEL 65-69 this is a great run for experience, level 70 Zone, with summons to each rift. And then there is the bonus of the loot drops. As always no lure was/is required. I am making this run a reoccurring event, so mark your calendar for Sunday mornings if you need crafting mats, experience boost or you just want to hang out...
