Donaliam Posted a Blog: Decisions...Decisions
So Last night I created my first purple weapon, Inpenetrable Divine Defender. I have been running around with a Rugged Orichalcum Mace for my one handed weapon. Both of them have really great stats for tanking. I am faced with a tough decision now, which mace do I use. So here is a side by side comparison: Inpenetrable Divine Defender Damage per second: 24.44 46-86 damage every 2.70 sec Endurance +23 Block +9 Parry +10 Dodge +10 Equip: Chance on melee hit to form a barrier that will absorb 259 damage...

Quhetu Posted a Guide: Swimming to Droughtlands
This guide is for those individuals wishing to get to Droughtlands by the only means they have available, that being to take to the waters. It is advised not to take this trip at a level BELOW 20. This route also allows you to pass through the fatigue zone set up between the lands of the Defiant and those of the Guardians. Preparation: Be sure to turn off your pvp flagging per instructions set up in the guide to do so by Fairybella. If you do not you may become the innocent target for some angered Defiant when they see you in their zone...

Ltol Posted a Guide: Artifacts of Iron Pine Peaks
Greetings all, Below is a list of Artifact locations that I compiled during my time exploring the Iron Pine Peaks Zone. The list shows approximately 90% of the Artifact locations that can be found in the Zone. Also it should be noted the Artifacts listed for each location are not all the Artifacts that could spawn there .. Many of the locations have a chance of dropping a assortment of different Artifacts, so what you get may be different from what’s on the list. The list will give you the location, Artifact name for the Artifact I got there, along with the set name it belongs to as well as the place within the set the Artifact goes...

Quhetu Posted a Guide: Items To Be Found In The Lake Of Solace
Preparation: To prepare your self and others coming with you, if such is the case, try to obtain some underwater breathing assistance, either by spell use, or potions, or other means. When doing the containers (see below) you will receive as part of the treasure some breathing potions that last for 8 minutes - long enough to go from the surface to the deepest of the lake and back up again. Well, hopefully so. Next, be sure you have your pvp flagging turned off. See other guides on how to do this...

When doing the containers (see below) you will receive as part of the treasure some breathing potions that last for 8 minutes - long enough to go from the surface to the deepest of the lake and back up again. Well, hopefully so. Then there is the question of getting to the lake itself. Three options occur here, of which I know of that is...

Fairybella Posted a Guide: How-to Use the Guild Rally System (for porting guildmates)
If you want to port to where your guildmate is: During events the guild often will ask you to be ready to be summoned to a location. This is how you prepare for that, so you won't miss the short time you have to port once your guildmate uses the skill to summon you. Go to Sanctum. You will need to go to the tavern on the east side, outdoors (loc 7611, 3104). Find the npc Gilbert Hilberto inside the tavern. He is by the fireplace. From him you will need to buy a Rally Scroll for 10g. I recommend you buy several...

Aife Posted a Guide: Realm of the Fae Normal (16-20) : A tank's perspective
A general overview of the bosses and tanking methods used to down them. Boss 1: Difficulty 2/5 Trickster Maelow This boss is quite simple. Taunt and AOE all three bosses and keep the aggro one you. Then focus down the adds that buff Maelow. It doesn't matter what order but it has to be done relatively quickly as to stop your healer OOMing. After the three adds are down Trickster Maelow becomes an easy tank and spank, he does stun the tank and will randomly turn players into bunnies. So be aware of that aspect if you healer gets transmogrified...

Aife Posted a Guide: Darkening Deeps Normal (22-23) : A tank's perspective
A summary of the bosses and tanking methods involved with Darkening Deeps Boss 1: Difficulty 1/5 Alchemist Braxtepel This boss is quite easy to down, and is very much tank and spank. There are three mobs Brax, Mursh and Squersh. Focus either Mursh or Squersh down first after you pull. Make sure that your group knows which one to down. Pull Mursh and Squersh away from Brax, almost right back to the pile of rubbish. Brax will be static and not move but he does cast an AOE ontop of either Mursh or Squersh that they can be moved out off...

Aife Posted a Guide: The Foul Cascade Normal (28-32) : A tank's perspective
This is just a short summary of the bosses within the Dungeon Boss 1: Difficulty 4/5 (lots of aggro swapping) Verosa, Lesch and Gurze Three boss fight. Position your group at the boulder on the right hand side of the tanking area (its near an old weathered tree). Make sure that your group is all stacked as tightly as possible as it will prevent wipes and make the fight easier. Pull Verosa to your party and tank her on the stack of players. Once she reaches 80% Lesch will become active and Verosa will become immune to all damage and inactive...

Fairybella Posted a Guide: How to disable pvp for a pve-only game experience. Also if your raid leader asks you to.
Some of you never want to pvp, ever. Sometimes you only want to pvp when you feel like it. That is perfectly alright and the devs have given you the tools to make that a reality. Sometimes the raid leader will ask you to disable your pvp auto-flag. Please do this asap as your leader has his reasons and it is for the benefit of completing objectives without interference from enemy players. Here's how it's done. Ingame: Hit ESC-->Settings-->Interface-->Combat Uncheck PvP Autoflag Hit Apply Now you will not be able to accidentally hit an enemy player with an aoe, or heal anyone who is already pvp flagged (name is green), or accidentally or on purpose attack an enemy player or their pets...

Fairybella Posted a Guide: How-to assist / focus fire / target through another player in raids and groups
Often in raids you will hear the raid leader instruct you to: focus fire through a certain player assist a certain player target through a certain player All of these can be done in the same way, for they are the same thing. What your raid leader is asking you to do is for everyone in the raid or group to attack the same target. This is easily accomplished. It is also important because you can defeat the desired target much more quickly and complete objectives more efficiently. You will be able to switch targets without ever clicking on anything, because that player (often referred to as "main assist" or "MA") is doing all the selecting and switching for you...

And snows still line the nountainside Over mechanical Titans did we ride. Come to rescue, Fog did show, From an island with light aglow; Then to lead this stray to clan from a rift into history grand.
