It is an oversized cartoon.

It's cartoonist because it runs on everything. Even ios and android devices.

Yeah, cartoony graphics are due to the multi-platform setup.  I just don't see a lot that it has, which other games don't have and do better.  Again, the mobile OS can't handle what PC/MAC/Consoles can... and that may well be the downfall for this game in terms of those not looking for a mobile MMO.

I wouldn't mind having iOS access to do a bit of crafting while waiting in line to check out at the grocery store. Battling might be a different story, of course.

Reminds me of Diablo 3 as far as the player view, etc.  Will have to look and learn more about it.  Not excited at this point.

Isometric gaming is dry as dust for me.  Pass.

Hmm I might have to keep an eye on this one. I played Ragnarok Online for 7 years, and this seems to strike a similar note.

Considering you have to spend money to get in the Alpha to play now, I'm not signing up to test it.

Moving to the StreamTeam forum as it is no longer in the running for possible chapter. We will however have a Guild Setup for use in our livestreams that you're welcome to gather in and hang out if you like under the understanding that it's not a formal guild and we wont be organizing it at all. It will be purely for use during our visits with the Streams of Epic Adventure and Fog's Side Quests.

EDIT: Double Ack! I'll just sit in the corner as I misread twice over. Depending how finances go, Marrra and I may see some of you when the November beta session occurs as long as we get our founder packs (will resort to $30 if we have to!)

Long time, no chat!

I’ve been watching Gaiscioch since Marrra and I left when ESO came out (we were in the GW2 chapter and still reading the newsletters) and since then were in Final Fantasy XIV (wished GSCH went there fully and not just Saighdear!).

Now having a break from FF14 since we’ve been there since launch in 2013, we’re been fishing around, presently in Skyforge till something else pops up like Albion.

After a heap of reading, we believe Albion is the place we want to go to when the time comes (since we have tablets as well as PCs) and I honestly thought of GSCH when I saw the territory system. Lo and behold, I’m here to check in.

I would love an invite if at all possible for Marrra and I to dig in and check it out with a few other GSCH members as we both miss that feeling of community. Never felt the same since GW2 and the website system.

Unfortunately Albion Online is not going to be a chapter, however I'm certain we'll have a casual lil GSCH there for those who decide to play to hang out together in. Wont be anything official but we can at least hang out and have some fun together. Albion just isn't a game you can do large scale activities in successfully. You get 20 people on screen and it's a mess. Let alone 200.

P.S. You can always come back to GW2 and have fun with us. With HoT on the doorsteps theres going to be a whole lot of content that we didn't have access too before. And I'm not talking about the new zones. All new Raids, All new Adventures (a la RIFT), All new Guild Missions for PvE, PvP, and WvW, New Borderlands, New dungeons, New Crafting line, New Class. Lots of nice improvements. And it's also Free-2-Play now. So you can get started without paying a dime.

Ah yes, only 20 people would be nasty for GSCH! We’d dominate purely because no one else could, let alone us, in that area! :P

As for GW2, I have pondered it but Marrra and I are pretty much away from it with a bad taste back when we were there (not GSCH, just the implementation). We will haunt though, depending on future chapters!

What part turned you guys off? Chances are it was one of the parts I fought very hard to get changed ;). A lot of the big problems they had at launch they've fixed. They might not be the fastest at fixing things but they have listened and responded when they had the right solution to the problem. HOT Brings so many fixes that I discussed with them before launch into the live game. RAIDING for one :D. Large Group UI for 2. Cross Guild Communication for three. A bigger WvW map for four. and the list goes on.

Don't forget we got tons of people willing to do all the content! :D We do now sPvP, Fractals, Dungeons, Achievements, Jumping Puzzles :3 And WvW with Fog! (Avoid the cliff)

So as I've mentioned before the games we play can have the worst problems in the world so long as you play with the right people. 

I find that playing with the right people that I can trust and have fun with tend to help make the most pleasurable memories instead of playing with people that I can barely stand in a game with issues. 

I played ESO for a very very long time with a certain guild that was keeping me there simply for the people and not the state of the game. When the guild left I left just because it was the people that made it fun.. not game mechanics.

There is not a game out there that is everything we want as a guild, a community, or a player. There just flat out isn't an all things for all people or one that meets all of our needs as GSCH. The longer I play games the more I understand that it's what I make of the game that changes it for me.

That said I think GW2 is moving in the right direction by allowing players alternatives to every avenue of play. You want to PVP ok WvW or SPVP. You want to PVE ok Raids>Adventures>Open World>etc. etc. 

We are fortunate enough to know that we have friends in GSCH that will be able to help us and guide us when we hit a wall. 

Jayvenpup, I hope you come back and give it a try through a different view point and see if the changes they made are good enough for you to stick around and enjoy the community again, we'd love to have you back.
