Just wanting to get peoples thoughts on the new expansion for Rift 4.2. Is this going to be the fix all for all the SFP issues or a last gasp as the life support plug is pulled?
First, the ever-optimist sparkly pixie dust response! I'm always excited to have more new content. It is reassuring to me when new content is still created, rather than just cruising along in old content for years. It will be nice to have new zone events, rifts, etc. Looking forward to continued adventuring with guildies. :-)
BUT I don't think 4.2 represents a 'fix for all the SFP issues'. Just seeing the responses of players on the forums to the 4.2 announcement, there were SO many questions like "What about (this important thing) or (that broken thing)?" and it made me realize that there is SUCH a variety of topics that matter to different players.
So, I think 4.2 is what it is - 'new content' (not a fix) - for people to absorb and consume at their own pace, whether that be a few days to a few months or more.
Just my middle-of-the-night thoughts.

I'm with Zoewii, it is going to be fun to wander the new content. I did read that Rogues, (my main toon) are going to lose the stats from whatever bow they have. I guess it won't matter if you have a stick with some string, or a purple, the stats will no longer count. But what the heck, there will more things to do, that is what counts.

From what I have seen and read I decided to roll a Primalist since they seen to be the new flavor of the month. I too look forward to new content though its a shame that the Devs don't seem to fix the issues for the existing game play. I guess we get to look forward to seeing new broken things.
