Bring out your ink!

If I heard right in vent last night Don's planning a tattoo, which made me start to twitch thinking about what I have planned for mine.

So... if you've got ink, show it! if you're planning a tat, lets see what you're doing. :)

This was my latest (*sniffle* 6 months old already)
I've got another that wraps my right ankle and a large tribal sun on my left calf.



on a side note, I kicked around for years a variant of the celtic tree of life (the Gaiscioch symbol) across my back, but I opted not to because I'd never see it. lol

I don't have any tattoos, my hubby however has a bunch of them and some of them look really cool so I figured I would share =) On his back between shoulder blades Tree on his shoulder Weird thing on his arm and the really badly done bird he let his cousin put on him while she was practicing (you can also sorta see the one on his inner forearm, its an outline of the state of Pennsylvania) Edit: He has 2 others but I don't have any good pics of them. One is a equal armed cross with a four leaf clover in the center (all the men in his family have one) on his one bicep and the other is a heart (human style not like <3)with thorns coming out of it and flames coming out of the ventricles on the top (i think thats what they are called)

Hats off to yall for allowing someone to stick needles constantly into your skin and inject a foreign material .. now from this statement you may think I am anti-tatoo .. the truth of the matter is the word needle. Yall are some brave folks with beautiful artwork .. I am just not that bold, and alcohol infusing me to get me into one .. well most reputable places woudln't ink me. I do salute you, and love looking at it, but doing it oh goodness no .. I am a big *(&##$^$$ Now the Cyan Blue that I see in Ravyn's post and then on a couple exes in panther eyes and waves around a dolphin is a wonderful new ink color I love. If ya gonna ink up the cyan blue is quite striking!

they don't tattoo you when you've been drinking because you bleed more ;) a needle phobia would probably rule out getting work done, but the level of pain is determined by the area that you have tattood, most of the ink I have didn't hurt much at all (admittedly though I have a high pain threshold). the exception to my last statement was having my achilles tendon worked on; THAT was a whole realm of pain I'd never experienced before. mostly it's like being scratched, it's annoying little pain. I start getting excited thinking about a new one... I've got plans for my honu (turtles) that will likely cover my entire forearm, but we'll see how it pans out after I get some ideas and talk to a couple of artists.

I have "mulch" inked on my left foot, to match my cleric. (Or was it the other way around?)

Actually most places I go to don't care if you're drunk or sober. In my younger days I thought what a great idea to tattoo my stomach area. Back then it was nice and flat. After a few too many drinks I made my decision and went to the tramp stamp emporium and taco cart. Kidding about the name. Well I was nice and lit and decided on a big bright orange star, not the sun, a star with the center point being my belly button. Anyways, I was drunk, did I mention that? So the blood starts flowing, literally filling up my belly button and my button runneth over, so the guy doing the work just splashes it aside, spraying windows, passer by's, what have ya. Suddenly a crowd is forming because I'm gushing blood like some handsome belly geyser, and the tatto man just kept swiping it at people in the area. I understood the rush Gallagher must get when he's on stage. I'll post pics some other time.

As soon as i have the money together i will b gettin the Tuatha tree (the icon on the "family tab") on my forearm with a special tribute to our fallen Comrade Oldroar.

I've got 7 Tattoo's. I'll have to get hubby to take some pictures. I got most when I was in the Navy, hehe. Two dragons, Ivy and flowers, a rose, a small bird, a smoking sphere design (on the back of my calf, man that one hurt) and a grown up version of pebbles flintstone (it was my nick name :P). The ivy, one dragon and pebbles unfortunately, will not be in photos here due to their positioning lol. I need to have a few of them reinked and touched up because I haven't had them touched since I got them, waaaay back in 1990 hehe. I'm just afraid to because I know then I'll want another one! BTW, I'm terrified of needles. Getting a tattoo is NOT like going to the doctors and getting a shot, so it did not bother me at all. I actually fell asleep getting one of my tattoos.
