calligraphy and illumination

I am going to a wedding in NC in January, and I was thinking of creating something for the bride and groom with calligraphy. I was curious if anyone in the family has done anything like this. I am looking for input on design and even what to say in it. I have never put something like this together.

Thank you for any help you can give.

I know a bunch of folks in the SCA who do phenomenal calligraphy and illumination (and I have the scrolls to show for their work--GORGEOUS!). If you can message me a general area where you live, I can put you in touch with someone in that region.
