What is the Saighdear Program |
Saighdear is an unofficial recreational division of the Gaiscioch Social Gaming Community run by veteran members to create a fun and enjoyable community in unsupported games. Their goal is to create a playing environment similar to that within the Gaiscioch, in games the Gaiscioch do not officially support.

Saighdear Structure |
A Saighdear branch does not have a Ceannard, and lacks any serious public relations, marketing, or developer relations. These branches are for recreational purposes only and participation in them is not claimable for fellowship points, with the exception of a previous official chapter that was converted to a Saighdear. No new Gaiscioch.com site developments will be created for a Saighdear program and participation in the branch is entirely for player enjoyment. The guild system in each game will be laid out by the person operating the guild in the Saighdear branch. Ranks, policies, procedures, and moderation are to be handled by their appointed officers. The actions of the Saighdear branch does not reflect the official opinion of the Gaiscioch Social Gaming Community. Disputes are handled internally among the leadership of a Saighdear branch. A Saighdear can be a hard core group, or a completely casual group. They can be existing members only, or open to the public. The structure and format is open entirely to those who decide to operate it. If the management decides they do not want a ranking structure and they want to just create a channel for members of the Gaiscioch Social Gaming Community to call home in a title they can do so. These branches can operate as a true guild or as a casual community. How it's run is entirely up to those who open it. |
Saighdear History |
In 2013 the Saighdear program was created as a way for members of the Gaiscioch Social Gaming Community to branch into other games together which do not fit the criteria for an official chapter of the community. The eldership team wanted to allow members to explore any game that interested them but retain brand integrity. Thus they created the Saighdear as an unofficial branch of the family which is run by members of the Gaiscioch Social Gaming Community without a ceannard present. In March of 2013 we launched our first Saighdear program in RIFT. Previously this was our third chapter. In an effort to keep the family alive and well even with the ceannard stepping away from the game we converted it to a Saighdear branch allowing existing members to continue to enjoy the title without risk of damaging the brand integrity. |
