As MMO player surely know by now, Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns is the first expansion ever for the ArenaNet MMORPG. In fact, most everyone suspected the announcement thanks to the leaked trademark information. But that didn't stop fans from being excited about it, nor did that bit of information satisfy their hunger.

The emcee for the reveal event was none other than voice actor Jennifer Hale, whose voice players might recognize as Queen Jenna's. President and CEO of ArenaNet Mike O'Brien and game director Colin Johanson teased the PAX South crowd of over 1,500 fans waiting in the main theater. But the anticipation for new expansion started well before anyone even came to the stage.

Revenant is the equal to Guild Wars 1 Dervish this is a great add for the future of this game ^_^

Thought Dervishes were medium armor?  Flavor wise the Revenant seems like a Heavy wearing Ritualist with the whole channeling of past heroes thing.  Not to mention the blindfold as part of the armor.  

Had dropped out of GW2 and gaming in general for a bit due to work, but just this morning figured I'd check and see if there was any GW2 news.    Spent the past hour or so catching up and listening to the PAX presentation.

Eesh.

Oh and hammer wielding Engineer with flying bot minions? Yessssss.
