WARNING: NCSoft Account Phishing Email Scam (Wildstar)

I want to get this out ASAP, because an email just came across my Inbox that passed all of my filters and was even sorted into the correct folder.  This doesn't usually happen with phishing emails, most are poorly crafted enough to barely miss getting flagged as suspicious spam.  Of course, this also came to an email that I no longer use for NCSoft accounts, so huge red flag for me, right there.

It concerns Wildstar, but might concern other NCSoft games, as well.  Remember that most hackers will have your account names, emails and whatnot by now, there's been a lot of security breaches and they use that information to craft more convincing emails.

Nice heads up. One thing about hackers/phishing is that they keep getting more creative as people become more aware of the security threats.

Yeah I just received a phishing email regarding "unusual activity" on my GW2 account stating that if I didn't click the link provided that my account would be deactivated.

Obviously I didn't click the link, but instead logged on to my GW2 account to check for any unusual behaviour.

The good thing about GW2 is that A.Net show you which ip address you are logging in from under the security section of the accounts page.
