Massively.com: Guild Wars 2 to make World XP account-bound

ArenaNet is pleased with the community embrace of World XP in Guild Wars 2's WvW and has announced that it will be making this XP account-bound in the near future.

"As we begin to roll out our new core horizontal progression system of continually-expanded skills and traits, we felt there was no longer a need to have a character-specific progression system unique to WvW," the devs posted. "The skill and trait system will provide game-wide horizontal character progression for all players."

When the change is implemented, every account will pool earned World XP, and that pool will determine world rank and world ability points. Players can then take those world ability points and dole them out to various characters as desired.

Woot and Dbl Woot - maybe even Triple Woot!....  I have one character near 70 and 4 others above 40 or close to it... this is a true blessing for me.  I know it won't add up to the total they have since levels take more and more exp to obtain - but this is a big deal for me.  It sounds like we get the total number of skill points to use among all our characters - so now I need to pick a couple of characters to use in WvWvW  but that is still better than what I have now.   But decisions must be made - and it won't be easy when the time comes.
