Lovelesss?

Anyone know this toon in GW2, or does it belong to any family members?

I keep getting mail spam with gold and items attached, but have no idea who this person is.  They do not reply to mails and are not online when I am on to send a tell to.

If anyone can solve this mystery, please post....I have a lot of items/dyes/chests/gold they have sent me for no particular reason...

Sounds like your Arenanet id or character name may be close to one they use for laundering plat. Or maybe it is completely innocent. In any case if you are receiving significant amounts of valuable items perhaps let Arenanet know.

First off: Score! Secondly: I agree with Llyren. They're not replying sounds rather suspicious, you just might be able to help bust on of those "mule" accounts that are so hard for the anti-Gold task-force team to catch. Lastly: Do you find yourself missing any items? Are you sure you have a secure password, no funky access warning emails, etc? Sometimes, gold farmers will hijack an account and use if for no other reason than a transfer mule: they'll email stuff to it, log in, collect the stuff, delete the email, and transfer it to another mule. No one is the wiser, and it messes with GMs trying to trace transfer trails, because they run into a "legit" player who has no idea what is going on. That practice is also applied to email accounts, too, for purposes of spamming, fraud, etc, so its nothing new to gaming. Just curious.

It's an evil plot to get people banned, order bunch of gold online and have it sent to a random person, then Anet think that person bought gold ~__~a

You can also report in-game mails as spam or unwanted - which if someone is harassing you, searching for "love" in all the wrong places (the name is "lovelesss" - could be a wierd courtship thing) or any unwanted mail especially if they are laundering coin - and if you really have no clue - just report for safety reasons - and return. I mean one or two times - ok... but more than that - there is something afoot - especially if you have returned or sent them e-mails before wanting an explanation.

Yeah they have sent me 12 mails of 5 items each in 3 days...but it is odd stuff like level 10 blues, black lion chests, up to level 20 armour, and about 10 gold in total. It is strange, but hopefully not enough volume that it is from a goldseller as I would have thought they were moving large quantities? Oh, and a lot of dyes! I will let you know what happens!

Ah, it might be someone trying to email loot to an alt, by using their toon name. I tried doing that to myself at first, it went to some random person who also had a character named "Tabitha" and they returned it to me. Its hard for people to realize that they do not need to, and can not, email items to their alts like in other games.

I doubt if 10 gold would do it - 100 gold 3 or 4 times - maybe. could be as Sek said - someone trying to mail to an alt - or someone else in their guild - "return to sender" will still work and get rid of your any guilt. If they start sending you love poems - well - then it is a whole new ballgame. :)

Are you returning the mail to sender and letting them know? Sounds like someone trying to send things to a friend, and probably has the Anet ID wrong. If I had a RL friend starting the game that sounds like exactly what I would be mailing...duplicate dyes I had banked, a little gold and some gear for their level.

Yup..the post was to identify whether it was a Gaiscioch person and designed to prevent the error in future. The stuff just keeps coming with no reply to in game mails or tells!
