Guild wars 2 : Large Group Leadership By BalorGorgon will be withdrawn for sometime.

Start Dec 21st,2012. 

My last event is the Break of Dawn Force W-v-W-v-W

Will be taking time off from leadership of large group events. ( The time off is not known but may be a while. )

I may be leading dungeon groups, but that will be the extent of it.

I hope that the family will understand my why I'm stepping back from leadership.

I hope deeply that maybe in my large group leadership withdrawl that a few new leaders will rise from the morning mists to be the guiding light for other family members.

I hope someone will take over the World vs World group that I started in the morning hours since a large amount of people do enjoy them.

I love you all very much and I like to join as a follower in a event instead of leading events all the time.

From world vs world to PvE events I would like to join.

I will be around and hope all have a great time during my withdrawl of leadership and hope new leaders are born.

I'll miss your events, but I can understand stepping back for a while. It's good to know that I'll still be playing with that ugly Charr as a party member. See you tomorrow for WvW.

Hey Balor As someone who has enjoyed participating in many of your zone events/map clear/fund raising runs I really appreciate you taking the time and effort to run events. Good times! I look forward to the day your events resume. In the mean time, take a break or refocus your efforts as needed. See you soon!

I hope someone steps up to lead things. I can't always do so. I wanted to yesterday for part of Balor's event in Cursed Shore, but just couldn't do it. Not that I was afraid of how things would go, just that having to pay attention fully to not only what I was doing was not happenening. Let alone my body was not with the program. HA! Figured out part of my problem is I'm fighting off the start of a cold now. You would have thought that would have happened last week, not a week and a half into my hubby's bout with pneumonia. Anyway, we really need others to take the challenge of leading. I have no issues being the random help behind the scenes, but health wise things are too unpredictable for me to actually be the one doing this. Also, who knows if my brain will be on a role with writing, reading or studying something. Balor does a great job of leading, but from talking to him about it this week, the guy needs a break before he feels like he might burn out on it trying to give family things to do at a time we seem to have no one else stepping up to do it.

Well breaks are good, no worries, as far as dungeons go, we do AC alot, any other dungeon I'm willing to learn and once I do, I tend to lead them lol

Just wanted to say that I enjoyed the event you had on Saturday mornings clearing Orr, thanks for running that. Taking an indeterminate break is understandable, leadership can take a lot out of you.

I'm not comfortable at leading large groups, but at the same time, I don't want to make my events exclusionary. That's why I haven't stepped up yet, still trying to ... heh well I'm just not comfortable with large groups.

I don't envy anyone that leads - and stepping back and taking a break is a good thing. You all push yourself way too much. When you do come back consider cutting your events in half - don't run them so often. Tagging along with a group can relieve the stress vs. leading it. So become a part of us sometimes. Also consider co-leading - get a partner that can run with you and shout the orders - just to give yourself a break. Games are suppose to be fun - not work - and I know that sometimes the leaders get so involved it feels like work. Enjoy the break - have a great time during the holidays - and have some gosh darn good times.

Not the manner of needing a break Its just a step back to let those who care to lead events step up and have my asst if need be in the AM hours. Let other people stepping to do this lets the family know that im not trying to hog the event calendar. Like to see new leaders step up and show others what they can do. I posted over a month ago for those who dont recall about being a Mentor for those wanting to do Leadership who many not know a zone or like some aid with ideas and guidance which is what I like to offer to those wanting to lead. My mass events were for those to benefit from and im not stressed out, but I like to be able to leave comments on other people leadership so they feel the joy i get from what you all did for me :)

ahhhhhhhhh ... thanks for the clarification. It is quite nice of you. I'm rarely up before 11 PST and I could never imagine leading an ealy morning event - even if I wanted too ;). Safe journ.

Hi Balor, I am usually not online during your events, but the ones I participated in were very nice. Perhaps you can free up the calendar for others by focusing on a key event like the morning WvW. I suspect that your WvW event is valuable for the server and helps us maintain our rank against the other servers. Further, (I hate to say it) I doubt that others will step up as you suggest. One of the nice things about Gaiscioch is that members are encouraged to take on as much or as little of a leadership role as they want, and there are resources for those who want to take on leadership. From my perspective, I have significant responsibility outside of GW2 and the last thing I want is any responsibility during my "down time." Fortunately, there are other ways for me to contribute to the family. Enjoy your break, but I hope this isn't a sign that you are frustrated with us! Sincerely, Fym :)

Far from frustrated in that manner it is hard to hold myself back from wanting to do large group events ,but with other forum posts that were made this was the step I took to help out in that manner. I enjoy the family very much and being frustrated is the last thing within my system. Other then that looking for people to also fill my GSCH Market place orders so i can build up my Omnoberry Bar Tray for my events I have ran low on them so trying to build those back up so I have more. The Morning World Vs World that I was doing I know of a few others who I run with who I like to see take that over so I can play along instead of leading all the time plus it helps me out in the long run with my World vs World tactics as well. Knowing how those who follow you think helps you in ways that can only be learned by taking the back seat every once in a while. Other then that I'm off to bed and will check this post as I can ( work This weekend each day til close which is til 2am and 12am most of the days I work. )

Recently had a real life issue happen that will have my focus, but hope to be able to play with you all at least. I may not be able to use the internet possible,but once again figure give you all a heads up in case im not seen for a few weeks. Hope all is well with the rest of you.
