In exchange for the new tier of gear will be coming out to deal with the 9th new dungeon, Lengendary weapon stats will be increased as well to stay competitive :D

I guess they are no longer the most expensive fluff item in game then. According to the rest of the post though they'll also change how those legendary weapons are gotten. "We also have plans to add more fun ways to acquire Legendary precursor items with a more “scavenger hunt†feel than they are acquired currently."
Well that will make it simpler for people working on legendary weapons. If its anything like the GW1 scavenger hunts it will still be a lot of work, but well worth it.

Oooooo..... Similar to the moa chick scavenger hunt? I loved how they handled that in GW1 ! That would definitely make the work more appealing. I could work on it a bit at a time similar to map completion (currently at 93%.... yay!).
Well, the way it is now, just completely sucks. I've done the dragons, well over 100 times in the past several weeks (I have them on farm status) and I am VERY disgruntled at always getting blues or greens in the chests. Since I run a MF suit, I actually get better drops from the random event trash that spawns. o.O So I am very happy to hear they're going to make some changes to how the precursors are obtained, because this RNG, extremely rare drop chance, NPC grind system seems too much like the old days of Everquest and those are just not fond memories for me.
I would be very interested to find out how they plan to do this. If it is in fact like a scavenger hunt like the mini black moa chick in GW 1, I will be very thrilled for that really was fun. The current requirements for legendary weapons is just madness for a few of the components. I thought they wanted this game to be unlike any others and do away with the farming of items. So we will see how it goes (keeping fingers and toes crossed).
