Oceanic & European Guild Wars 2 WvW Players Wanted

Greetings Everyone,

I must say Elth has been givng his best at leading activities late night to try to preserve our territory but the bitter truth of the situation is unless we can build a strong overnight crew on our server we are never going to be able to beat a crew who does. The reason being is there are 24 hours in a day. Most of our population plays from 3-12AM PST (9 Hours) leaving 12-3PM PST (15 Hours) unguarded. In those 15 hours supplies run free, keeps can fully upgrade, and resistance is minimum for our enemies. Come 3PM PST our forces slam into fully upgraded keeps, attempt to take back heavilly fortified locations. All the while the Prime Time crew pops on and puts up a resistance. Even if we owned everything durring 3-12AM it would not equal the points generated from 12-3PM. 

What does this mean? We need to find ways to attract Oceanic and European players to Sanctum of Rall. We got Elth a book so he can organize. If your able to be on in those hours please do your best to help Elth in preventing total world domination. Do what you can to slow the bleed. If you have friends tell them about our night crew and what we're trying to accomplish. 

We will never be able to win this war without this crew and to build this crew we need to encourage the right people. We as a family don't recruit publicly, however we do promote our server. Lets do what we can to bring people here and if they end up joining us on Sanctum of Rall they will likely know who brought them here. 

Lets work together. Blog if you can, tweet and facebook about our late night warfare. Don't request people to join, entice them to join. Vigilence is also trying to put together some late night wvw activities so between Gaiscioch and Vigilence we should be able to accomplish something. When we stand 20 vs 100 we need to make sure those 100 remember our name!

I think this is possible. Given the close matches we have had over the past couple of weeks, I could see that attracting a group that wants a challenge and the opportunity to make a huge difference in a hotly contested battle.

OK - I will make a better effort to get into WvWvW - I am a late developer of characters but have one close to 30 now so I should be a bigger help and I am actually usually playing until 3 a.m. pst anyway - I'm usually just winding down and exploring - but what the heck - a little R&R before R&R can't hurt. (Realm vs. Realm / Rest and Relaxation). So... I'll make a better effort - you have at least enticed me :)

I don't know many Oceanic players, but I'm a late night player. I'm doing my best to help the war effort in the off-peak hours. We will win in the end.

I won't know my new schedule fully for a couple weeks but I do know for sure I am moving to a graveyard shift with my new RN position working from 7pm to 7am AZ time for three days each week. So I am very happy to help with the late night effort in WvW since I will be moving to being on a permanent night owl position and want to keep my sleeping schedule during the days each day. My main is Purrcules Diarmada and I am already in full crafted 80 exotic armor and weapons (I made the armor myself :D ) and ready to go anytime for late nights starting here in a couple weeks.

Does this mean that we can approach Oceaniac/Euro players and get them interested in joining or is the policy still rigid on, "They have to come to us."?

Encourage them to come to Sanctum of Rall.

We're not actively recruiting for the guild here, our family is large enough that we don't need to recruit and we still grow hecause people want to be a part of the family. What we want to do is encourage WvW orientated Oceanic and European guilds and/or players to the server, tell them of our experiences against Darkhaven and Sorrows Furnace. Tell them that even when we lose we go out fighting and we never give up. That is what makes our server so great, that is what makes the mid-tiered servers so great. We have just as much fun and challenge as the top tier without the 24/7 queue. There is more to Sanctum of Rall than just Gaiscioch, we have some great guilds and personalities in WvW. We started off scattered and without purpose but as each battle is fought we will become closer as a community. With each battle lost we share defeat and with each battle won we come closer together in victory. The best time to experience this is now.

I was actually looking at the calendar to find only 1 official late WvW event listed a week. I play around midnight (or later) a couple times a week (or whenever I really just can't get to sleep lol) Sure I like to WvW randomly, but its more fun with other people so I tend to try hitting those event times. I would love to see a couple days a week (if possible)

I only have time to run one scheduled event per week mate. I might be on during the weeknights but I can't commit that time to leading as I may have to leave without notice and that's not a good look when commanding 30 or more people on the battlefield.

My advice is to start your own event if you wish to see it happen :) Gaiscioch is designed to let leaders lead without having to ask permission from the warlords and elders. Pick a time for your event, make a forum post to advertise it and calendar it. Post in guild a little beforehand to remind people and there you go, one event sorted!

My playtime has shifted from prime time to not. I will be seeking out others (when possible) during the morning hours but times will vary. I am eastern time and am usually able to play around 5am server time. I will be giving shout outs to assist (lead) where I am able to, still learning the WvW and off times work best for my computer:) I shall see you all on the battle fields.

I will be adjusting the day/time of my weekly event in the near future to accommodate all of those backward people that change their clocks every six months ;) This time is yet to be determined as I will need to make some adjustments to my RL schedule as well. Keep an eye on the calendar for future updates

I am sure that I can come to many WvW euro Events :D

and I can play at 10 am server to 2 pm for sure :D

Once my classes finish for summer holidays (November - February) I can be a bit more active with wvw events that I can help with between 10pm and 3am PST (7pm - 12am NZ daylight time) (By then PST daylight saving would have finished so 21 hours difference instead of 20 that it is currently (19 when I'm on standard time - this is due to differences in when our daylight saving starts/finishes, one of a travel agents major headaches). I'm currently trying to attract local friends and family to the game and server, as well as several Aussies that I used to play wow with.

I'm actually an Australian member, and I've been asking a lot of the people I know to come to Rall. Furthermore, I'd like to see rall become an official Oceanic server. Like most, it would still be full of people across the world - but an Oceanic server is really needed. Three or four, rather. I just hit level 80, so I was going to start taking WvW a bit more serious.

Feel free to come along to the night crew WvW event Foxyn. It is on from midnight Saturday Pacific Time til 2am Sunday. We form up and get into the battleground around 11.45pm PST.
