I reactivated my account. Sounds like some fun to me!

Got the games and cant wait to give this a go :)

I wish I could afford to pick up more games like so many of you can. Just not possible on my once-a-month income which leaves me 10$ for emergencies after all the necessities are paid for. (hell a friend already buys my Rift time for me /sigh) I will seriously miss y'all. :(

Astraiel, come chat with me sometime. I have a 3rd copy of gw1 I've been letting some gaiscioch borrow. If I can figure out the login ill let ya use it for the events. When there's a will there's a way.

For this, is everyone starting at level one working up or do we need to be 20 already? I believe the last time I played I made it into the low teens, but I stopped playing once Rift came out. :)

Would love to join in on this :) (will be sunday my time so hoping my son will want to sit on mummy's lap to watch or behaves in general)

Go Level 1. We'll be fresh out the gate till the seering.

Have my GW1 still working, had to reset things to get back in due to forgetting passwords, but messed around with it the other day. Kinda funny how you can't even fall off a hill in GW1, but we're talking a much older design here. =) I just need to see what parts I'm missing since I haven't updated anything since late 2010 or so.

I'll certainly try to make these events, though I may only be able to start helping once you've all made it out of the starter area.(All of my character slots are full.) But it should be a blast to see and play with some of the family again.

This is an AWESOME idea! I've never managed to stay with GW for long. I started the game late and joining a guild full of max level players just wasn't fun. Weekends aren't usually gaming time for me, so Saturdays will be tough. But I'll do my best to make it online for this. Time to reintall and find my login details. :) Are you thinking of small groups or more of a Telara's Saga kind of approach? The giant vent channel with us all questing together would be fun. Will you have a vent meeting ahead of time? Or update this thread? I'm not playing anything with the family right now and don't want to get missed.

I have a level one ranger I made for this ready to go. Messed around a lot on Monday with the elementalist/mesmer I already had under the Briseadh name. Looks like I didn't get far with the game and honestly didn't remember much at all. Was like a new game and I think it was a good thing even Briseadh is a baby over there. =) Probably will mess with her more here and there just so I feel more comfortable with the game for the family nights. PS Glad this is not on Monday nights. Those look harder for me to get to once again. I'm home a little late, but may skip Monday's to sleep instead. ;) Depends on the body as usual.

I also would like to come but atm since the move costing us so much with deposits and such not I'm not sure I'll be able to join you do to the cost. I did download and play the demo, 9 hours worth and found it very interresting and confussing. LOL Couldn't find a trainer, not sure if you need one. Didn't take long to get to lvl 3 and I still have some time left to mess with it. Kittara

I'd be interested. I'm sitting at 11/50 and haven't been able to get past that stinking keep in EotN where all the white mantle spam rez each other...grrr stinking white mantle the only thing I hates more than char

I have game loaded and account set up. I was not sure what one to pick .. PVP or Roleplay then the next one Faction or what? I took faction but wasnt sure.. I am exploring with a mesmer Sea Mac .. please let me know what ones to pick to be with the rest of you. Thanks, Sea

I'll make it whenever possible. I'm sitting at 23/50 and I'd love to make it to 30/50 by the time GW2 rolls out. Btw Tserash I HATE that part too. I can't seem to kill the last guy. I've gotten super close a few times, but by then half my part is dead, I don't have enough spike dps party wise, and he starts ressing his buddies and/or more enemies respawn. Damn those white mantle quests. There's a reason why they're the hardest non hardcore mode quests.

I have the other three but do not have eye of the north and can't find any copies of it at all in Canada so yeah doubt I will be joining you for that unless someone has a spare key or wants to get me a copy of it off steam and gift it to me. I can definitely see if I can join you for the other three though for sure.

I have a rule for myself its to never use my CC on the internet. Yeah sounds stupid but for someone who got one for emergencies only, yeah its a life saver.

I just started a new warrior a few days ago. I won't be able to make it for the first 2-3 weeks in February but I'll keep him on the shelf until I get back.

It's funny, I was thinking "hey, isn't Guild Wars 2 coming out this year? What if I fiddled around in GW to get ready?" So about two weeks ago I found and downloaded GW, and realized I had no idea what my account info was. Got it straightened out pretty quickly, (on a weekend, no less) through a couple of emails to the very helpful NCSoft tech support. Then I said "what the heck do all these skills do, and where do I start?" So this event is exactly what I need! I have a level 20 character but I have no problem rolling a new guy.

its been years since i've logged on to gw, but i'm in. My character name over there is "Mittens Bunnytamer". Is there anyone i can contact that'll get me into the GW guild, or can you send an invite to my character please? I forget how it works >_>

Fog, I have a level 7 hanging out in the starter area. Is that low enough? Or is it better to start fresh with a level one for this?

Wow that is gonna be a blast from the past, bring on the nostalgia - it was my first ever mmo and I played with my son :) I recently ventured back in to GW for HoM stuffs, but it was lonely :( I've been in Swtor recently and I've missed you guys so much! I'll just have to see if I can get GW2 whenever it comes out. Simply cannot afford to buy the original and then the new one on top of that. lol I only ever have about 10 bucks left over for emergencies in any month once the life necessities are paid up. And I don't want to give up Rift... /grr

I haven't played GW in years, and unfortunately I don't have Eye of the North. Just doesn't seem worth it to buy the last xpac since I'll never play it. I did load the game up and logged in... and realized I have forgotten everything I ever knew about that game (not to mention they have changed a ton of stuff!) Sorry I won't be joining ya'll ... but I'll be seeing you in GW2!

I'll join you guys! I bought the game for the same reason, to learn the history and lore of Tyria before jumping into Guild Wars 2. I've got the two Guild Wars books on order as well. Has anyone here read either or both of them? If so, what'd you think of the story? See you all tomorrow night!

Created a brand-new, level 1 monk, Factions campaign - Takeshi Xiang. Looking forward to kicking this off tonight. On second thought, I'd rather run with a ranger and likely pick up some monk abilities as I level. Name is Woulfe Faodhagain.

We will be forming up in Old Ascalon City Pre-Searing in the Prophecies Campaign at 5PM Tonight. I will be recording storyline missions and compiling a video of each week.

I downloaded the trial game but it does not allow me to join the family, it would appear that I will have to purchase the 1st chapter in order to get with the Family. I made a Monk name Phire Strm

I missed Satuday night. Is there anyway I can catch up during the week? I do have a level 1 character made already and have played a little on the trial version before I got the full. Kittara

I was thinking of trying to catch up with you as well. How far do I need to get before next Saturday?

We got as far as post-searing, doing the Prophecies campaign. Meaning, we did the main storyline quests until the quest "Path of the Titans". After completing that one, you should be in Old Ascalon, etc.

Shouldn't take long to catch up. Maybe an hour at most if you just do the main story quests. I forget what the heading is in the quest log exactly, but you'll know what I mean when you see it. I have to say, in the last week or so, I've really enjoyed playing Guild Wars. I wish I had done more before now. I've had the game since the original Factions launched (when it was *just* Guild Wars - no expansion), but I didn't really get some of the mechanics for some reason and I think I had my Warcraft blinders on too tightly.

I've had the game since factions and all the expansions after. The original game, prophecies, I didn't get until recently and have never played through it.

Guess I'm having trouble getting hooked up with everyone since I don't have a mic

Keep an eye on the videos i'm posting :) I'm putting all of the cut scenes into weekly episodes :) Think were on Nolani Academy now for week 3. Feel free to play and quest on the off nights if you like. Never hurts to have a few more levels and skills.

joined up with the family in Gaiscioch Na Anu [GnA] today. thanks to Qe (Naayara Shakti in GW) for logging multiple times and pointing the way. also thanks to Warrior of Valhalla for helping with the mats for the AR60 EotN set. excited about more of the family coming together for the Legends of Guild Wars series. LF some members to quest with in order to clear campaigns for our HoM. *sameless gloating screenshot below* hope to see you before Saturday.

I haven't been able to get in game this last few Saturdays, and I don't know where you guys are up to. - Can someone tell me how to go about getting an in game guild invite? - Are we allowed to bring an existing toon to use or does it need to be a newly created one? I have a lvl 20 Ritualist, a 20 Elementalist and a 20 Necromancer. I would love to do the Prophecies on my Ritualist - the Elementalist has done it already, but I also have other lower characters and a free slot if I have to start over to join in.

now that were out of the starter area your aloud to bring any character you got. Right now we're on the Nolani academy mission this sat. We're doing 3 - 4 missions each week depending on how fast we can complete them.

Im sorry I missed the the first two weekends.... I will be there this Sat.

Hey guys, I am interested in joining up for this event. I am very late to the party but whatt do I need to do to catch up? Haven't played GW 1 before but I do think i bought the trilogy set last year sometime. Is there a certain server we need to be on?

Make your way through the missions leading up to Lion's Arch. If you need help hookup with Ty in vent he's been escorting people through. It's a instanced server. You don't select a server to play on. It adds more instances as population rises.

Is there a certain Chapter or Expansion I need to log into?

I'm going to try to start showing up for these. Weekends are usually a bad time for me to play online, but hopefully I can swing something. I'd like to get my last 7 points in Hall of Monuments before GW2 comes out.

We're just doing Prophicies and Eye of the North. On the off nights your welcome to adventure and see the rest of the world. Just trying to put together the storyline connecting GW1 with GW2 for people.

Episode 3 now online. I also made them open in a shadowbox rather than list a billion movies down the page :). Just hit your right and left arrows to browse the different episodes :).

The next Guild Wars 2 Beta Event will take place in late March. Invitations have not yet been sent out, but all those who will be invited will be notified in advance. Give your F5 keys a break and enjoy all of the new information from the past week. ~RB2 this came in via Facebook, about hour ago. 2pm est
