According to a post on the official forums by DevonCarver the Friday reset time will be moved 2 hours earlier to make it earlier for European players who have reset in the middle of the night.
Starting this Friday 4/ 19 the new reset time will be 6pm est/ 3pm pst which is definitely going to be an issue for a lot of family members.

Yeah not sure if we will be able to host much of an event with this wonky time change. Might see how queues are at 6. This will make it mear impossible to get on map before 9pm pst
Hm, I assumed that the Euro servers were on their own reset times, since they're out of a different datacenter. Odd that Anet doesn't separate resets for WvWvW, since they are completely different match-up systems, I wonder why. Also, I wasn't aware that we had any WvWvW Reset night events anymore. I thought those were nixed because of complaints from other WvWvW guilds.
The data centres are in germany iirc, but the reset might still be done via remote shutdowns which would explain the coordinated times. This would make reset 8am on Saturday morning for East Coast Australia, be damned if I'm waking up that early on a Saturday morning :P
