As many of us were hoping we are paired with some stronger opponents this time. This will be a great learning opportunity for us, both strategically and tactically. I wanted to make this thread to kickstart relevant discussion.

The Brotherhood [TBH] is definitely going to be a force to be reckoned with if they maintain such a strong presence. My impression was that they are likely a WvW-focused guild, given their numbers and organization on the battlefield tonight. (In our borderlands, that is. I didn't make it to any other maps this evening so I don't know how much of a presence they showed there.)

By holding onto Ascension Bay, despite hours of sieging and multiple wall breaches, they were able to maintain a strong base of operations, and coupled with their response time and mobility this made them fierce competition indeed. Kraas led what Gaiscioch were available, and one of our strongest successes was a mostly-unchallenged diversionary attack on the AB north gate. This may be something to look into; facing them on multiple fronts to force them to break up their organized zerg. This of course will require a lot of coordination on SoR's part.

We have moved up and as such we may need to look into concentrated efforts with other WvW guilds/groups; our own internal organization may not be enough. Thoughts?

Seems like somebody last night said that TBH was like facing ourselves. I agree. It was like a Gaiscioch WvW night when we have like 60-80 people all rolling with coordination following one of our commanders. Definitely not going to be pushovers if they maintain that level of play. Should be a fun week.

Yak's Bend and Northern Shiverpeaks both have very strong night crews also. We appear to have a few new off-peak players attempting to ride on our coat-tails from last weeks win, which is a double edged sword at the moment. Yaks Bend has some very solid defence tactics, their borderlands went untouched for most of the night. We had some epic battles inside Stonemist also tonight, two separate last stands inside the inner sanctum where we pushed them back and wiped the attack on both occasions. Unfortunately our team became too obsessed with Stonemist and began losing our four towers in the space of about 10 minutes. Hopefully the daywalkers can push back today.
