I just want to say I am immensely proud at our actions for the off-peak crew tonight. I didn't see any family out there tonight which was a shame but to see GscH, EPIC, VIG, FL and many more Merc's all working together as a truly cohesive group was amazing. We had cross map coordination, took back our homeworld and managed to maintain the lead in points until I went to bed at 6am PDT.
This is good news, hopefully it continues and grows.

I was there defending Eastern Keep. We had good battles, I am proud to have taken part on this victory. We might not always win, and always winning is no fun, but at least we made it this time. It's like a good stout beer to the troops morale. :)
That defence of Elthurien Hills keep was probably the highlight of GW2 for at this point. After taking back one of the borderlands last night we were called to assist Elths Keep immediately after securing garrison on the other map. I ported there immediately and quickly gathered my squad at lowlands supply camp. From there we pushed through the keep assault to the champions room while the enemy was pressing the attack at the inner gate. We got there just in time as the inner gate went down and they quickly flooded into the choke point to the champions room. The thieves in my squad all dropped caltrops at the top of the stairway and the corridor entrance, our single ballista continuously rained splinters into them and fire and steel smashed the room to bits. We held them at that point for a good two minutes but it felt like ten. Somehow they managed to ninja the orb (possibly a mesmer using invisibility and portal) but even then they kept pushing toward the champion. We stayed strong and pushed them back out onto the bridge, some spilling over the side to their death but the main force kept falling back further and further until we pushed them down the road to the lake and out of the keep. Like i said, this was easily the best ever battle I have seen in any game to date. I am so immensely proud of the server last night, words just can't describe it.
Yes we have pulled ahead by a nice margin! Excellent work all, I almost feel sorry for Darkhaven! (almost...)
I was in there for a bit, then I got disconnected, and my queue time was horrible. So I worked on the story missions while watching the scores inbetween missions. When we took the keep/castle i was stoked. We had a good 9000 point lead by the time I went to bed. Good job guys. And its only been what 2 days since the reset? I like it.
I noticed this morning we had moved down to second place, but then by lunch time we were back in the top position. So there seems to be a morning group running and keeping us up. Would be great if the server started to unify more as time advances.
we are starting to unify. i went in wvw at around 10am pst and we controlled almost every map completely. People were still talking about the epic defense of the Hills Keep. Glad we had some people involved in that.
There is definitely another off-peak force in WvW that logs on after I go to bed. When I logged off last night 6am PDT we were +40 potential points behind Darkhaven. We were quite equal before I went to bed. Seven hours later I checked the score prior to going to work and we had decimated Darkhaven. So there is a period between 6am PDT and 1pm PDT where Sanctum of Rall is steamrolling. Great news IMHO
I ended up staying on after Elth left last night (meant to stop, but was enjoying myself too much). I can't comment on the other Maps, but on the Sanctum Borderlands, it wasn't so much a surge in our performance that reclaimed the map, but more a stubborn refusal to give up that broke Darkhaven's momentum. Darkhaven looked unstoppable, and eventually had everything except Garrison Keep and the two towers either side. We couldn't seem to stop them taking the towers, so we simply kept retaking the tower on one side of Garrison when they went for the tower on the other side (we had a couple of Trebs up on either side of Garrison to break down the walls of these towers quickly). Eventually Darkhaven went for broke and tried one final push on Garrison, using 3 Golems (at least 3 that rendered for me) to break down the Water Gates in record time. After an epic fight in the Lords Room we somehow prevailed and Darkhaven's spirit seemed to be broken. Within an hour we had the rest of the map back with virtually no opposition (and it looked like the other maps were starting to do the same, when I logged the centre map was also ours again bar 3 objectives)
That sounds awesome Dargron, now i regret going to sleep.
At this point it is feeling like a lot of Darkhaven has given up. Not seeing a lot of response or a sustained one, personally. And what the heck happened to Sorrow's Furnace this round?

I have been focusing on finishing up the last few levels to get to 80 (77 when I logged off last night) so I have been staying out of WvW. Looks like I missed all the fun. I guess now would be the time to go for 100% WvW map completion, though.
You better be quick, they're fighting back and we stirred up a hornets nest.

I went out to E.B. and got 100% map complete and a good batch of karma/xp/coin retaking sentries and defending. There were just a handful of the enemy out there this morning, and they fit the low-skilled category. It was fun and profitable. And I won a 1v2 against a warrior and thief, mwahaha, hooray for my pet, Bearly. Right now is a great time to get your map done, lots of waypoints are in place to speed up getting around.
That's awesome Elth. At first I was scrolling down thinking 'Man, who broke the forums.' Totally worth it imo haha.
Nice work all! Let's keep this unity and cohesion going! Work together if you see other Gaiscioch on the map, join up and have fun as a team :)
Sorrow's seems to have given up. They controlled nothing this morning when I checked, Dark Haven is at least still fighting back.
Last night was awesome. Epic guild's commander (Mara) led the team, and we took most of the map by about 3am pst. I kept seeing the points tally with us gaining 500 and the others gaining 100, it was so much fun.
awesome! unfortunately I have been busy with work lately and have been getting home late. Hopefully it will die down a bit so that I can get back into the WvW schedule.
