Due to Personal Issues, I no longer see myself fit to be WvW Lead

I hereby resign my post as WvW lead.

I'm sorry to say a few things have come up recently that have really become a roadblock for me being WvW lead and I have to remove myself from said position.

For the meantime, I'll still be an active member of Gaiscioch, but I don't think I should stay a current Elder or WvW lead.  I wish those in similar positions all the best, but I think for now, being a regular member is what is best for me.

UPDATE:

I made myself sleep on it before I made any further decisions, but I've decided I need to leave the guild as well.  As of now, any events that I've led in the past are put on hold or cancelled.  I'm staying on the server never fear.  Unless for some reason, Arenanet kicks me, wild horses couldn't drag me away.  It's named after Oldroar, how could I?

I won't be posting my reasons for leaving.  That's not productive.  If you want to know why, you're welcome to ask me in game.  I'm an open book, but I won't do that here.

If you see me in game, don't ever be afraid to ask for general help or help in WvW.  I enjoy a great many of you and plan to play with some of you still.  Overall, I'll still be available, just not as a Gaiscioch member.

Thanks for all your hard work in the lead up to GW2. I think what is not always obvious is the huge amount of work put in from the end of last year up until release date by the leadership involved in lauching Gaiscioch into GW2. It is not refelected in points, or tokens, or any other measurement of time spent getting each house ready for launch. I am proud of all of my fellow elders/Fog for getting it done and taking us into launch. I would like to say thanks to all of you, including Vampiresbane.

Twas great to do battles in the field with you vamp. You were a good Leader, a good person, but more than anything a good brother and elder to the family in my eyes.

Vamp! You introduced me to this crazy family.* I'll be forever grateful for that. I've enjoyed many, many hours running through RvR with you in Warhammer. We were just getting started here in GW2. There's plenty of fun on the horizon. Life can be crazy, especially in times of stress. Sometimes one just has to wander off. I've done it myself. Take your time. Hate to see you leave you were always willing to help anyone who needed it and those deeds did not go unnoticed. I also enjoyed you leading us in WvW. Hopefully everything will resolve itself and good luck to you.

I think I have only particpated in one or two events with you since I recently joined GSCH, but I have appreciated your contribution and leadership. I hope you will sleep on your decision a bit longer. You seem to have a lot of history w/ friends here and mutual respect. Differences can be worked out, even if only to agree to disagree. Maybe after all your leadership, you just need a break to be a passenger for awhile? Letting some time pass between whatever recent event(s) and your final decision may make way for another option or perspective. I hope you reconsider that the only option is to leave a family you seem to hold in high regard. See how it goes!

Vampiresbane.6847 Vamp is solid as they come. Great leader. Gaiscioch will not be the same.

It's sad to read that. Vampiresbane is a legend in itself as an Elder and Leader, and I will always remember the good glorious times I had under his lead. For that matter, I believe him when he says he must go. No questions asked. I believe the doors will always be open if, or when, our good old friend comes back. Anytime I see him around at the WvWvW, I will know that would be a good way for glory and adventure. If there is no Family Event up at the moment, I'll probably follow him to fight at his side.
