Hi i am here to explain the build i am using whit the Engineers and why i like it so much.

http://gw2.luna-atra.fr/skills_tool/?lang=en&code=3ekag0dpe7e6e8hfq0au0u0a3aaacaub6b7k8

this is the skill build link, Now ill explain, the build is base on Conditions, mean ill bead you to dead. but not only that i have different Way to do it.

i use Dual Pistols i decided to use my pistols Rampage, which have Power, Precision, Condition Damage.

and the Medium armor i use the Carrion set, Contain Power, Vitality, Condition Damage.

And my accessories, Neck, Rings Will be Rampage, which are Power, Precision, Condition damage.

Of course a pretty basic DPS build whit high survivability.

i decided to keep my pistols whit precision because whit my boons i can achieve 60% Critical chance. which i guess is high enough. my build is base on Elixirs a alchemy.

in other words kite and kill, on weponds i need the Superiors Runes of the Earth. because i need to apply extra bleeds on the enemy. also my armor use 3 set of runes different.

x2 superior runes of the monk
x2 superior runes of afflicted
x2 superior runes of the krait

i use them because of the Boon duration effect and then Bleed Duration to stack. and bleed longer.i love it since i been using it.

on my traits i have power at 10 which allowed me to apply burn per chance on crits, 30 firearms , gives me the Extra range on pistol attacks, then burn duration, and the Pierce shoots. which works SUPER great. also 30 on alchemy which make my elixir cool-down shorter, and the boons duration longer, and it make its almost spameable. also i have a Double trait that can be exchanged, i can Turn 5% of my Vitality Intro Condition Damage, OR get the 1 that will remove 1 condition for each elixir i drink. Both are great its all depends on the Situation your in.

Well i hope you like it and b useful Depending your playing style. :)

Thanks.-Hokaido

Pretty basic Survival Build. I find Dual Pistols to be much more effective than the shield or the Rifle. And I liked the rifle...much more CC but no AoE. Condition spec's are very popular and I can see why, they do an absurd amount of DPS when done right. My Build I love the Engineer, got to level 80 just yesterday. Bomb Healing is my primary spec at the moment. Basically its MY WvW spec. Stacking healing power and using the Dwayna Runes. Running with a group is always a good idea. Stick with the tightest group of people possible. Here is a few things I figured out: Bomb Heals ARE effected by healing power. There is no limit on how many players can be affected by this. Everyone in the blast zone gets healed/hurt. I use this on the door, heals everyone on the rams and smacking the door, as well as hurts every enemy trying to get in the side door. It does not outheal the potential AoE on the door, but it does seem to make a difference. They are absolutely Fantastic for tanking since you also heal yourself. Solo'd Champions! Also really good for running away from a fight, drop that Glue bomb and Run away! Because its pretty much Melee Range, you do need all that extra speed to catch up and stay ahead of the group for the heals to affect allies and to hurt enemies. If you find yourself in a 1vX situation, pull out your pistols, will fare much better. Mesmers suck. Elixer U is great for an extreme burst of healing. Sometimes I swap the mine for Charr's Battle Roar, the Vigor buff is very handy since dodging also drops a bomb. Comparing bombs and grenades seems like a very one sided competition. You'd think grenades would be vastly Superior to bombs in every way, damage, range, and AoE. But theres a couple things that I just didn't like about grenades, one Ground Targeting is a huge crutch and time waster for damage output, I use the mouse for camera so the quick cast thing is not an option, making it harder to throw grenades while on the move. Another common theme with AoEs in this game is that they all have a "buildup time", for Grenades its the travel time from the time you throw them to the time they explode, the further you are, the longer it takes, and the easier they are to avoid.

Bomb healing? Is that part of the mine kit, or is this a different kit you're talking about? I'm intrigued, but my engineer is only 21 at the moment.

Hmm, will have to check both those out eventually. I do like the flamethrower, but that bomb healing sounds pretty cool too. Didn't realize there was a 30pt trait that did that.

I believe bomb healing is a trait... let me go check... be right back. yep, under Inventions: Grandmaster: Elixir-Infused Bombs: Bomb explosions heal allies. I prefer pistols over the others - I feel like I do more consistent damage. I really hate doing a skill that knocks me on my own butt and I would just as soon drop "big old bomb" or the personal mine for knockback. I'm only level 20 (becasue I deleted a level 24 Norn engineer to remake as a human - which feels more comfortable to me) but I was going into the Inventions line anyway. Now with the with the confirmation on bomb healing doing well - just confirms it for me. I also saw the trait for elixirs damaging foes - this could be another good thing :) Elixirs that are bombs - bombs that heal - ohhhh my!
