If you need someone for your Fractal or Dungeon, please keep me in mind...

I was hoping to get some fractals and dungeons done last night but a lot of people where tied up in WvW and it looked like although a group or two were doing dungeons they were full.  There seem to be a few guildmembers who like to run explorables and fractals and it occurred to me that they don't know me and may not know I'm interested so I figured I'd make this post to let the PvE Dungeon crowd know that if I'm on I am probably available to come to your Explorable/Fractal.

Why would you want me in your party?  Well here is some info about me:

• Although I'm new to 80 and inexperienced with GW2 dungeons/fractals, I've played other game's PvE to a reasonably high level so with some direction/instruction I should be ok.
• I'm a Level 80 Guardian, for gear I have all Rare pieces, mostly crafted "Knight" gear (TOU/Pow/Pre).
• I'm currently specced 0/15/30/20/5 for Altruistic Healing, Empowering Might and Shouts.  I also have 6/6 Superior Rune of the Soldier so my shouts remove conditions.  I have "Renewed Justice" and "Justice is Blind" traits to cause my Virtue of Justice to AoE Blind when activated and refresh whenever I kill a target which can help on trash.
• I have all of my class skills unlocked and am willing to respec if the party/dungeon requires it.  Need me to pack more consecrations, you got it.  Need more condition removal, I'll grab Pure of Voice so my shouts remove 2 conditions from each person affected.
• I have Raidcall and don't have a problem using it or talking on it.  I'll listen when you tell me what I need to do for the next pull and I'll let you know if I didn't understand something.

As of today (12/4) I have done Story Mode for Ascalonian Catacombs, Caudecus Mansion and Twilight Arbor.  I have also done Ascalonian Catacombs Explorable Path 2 a couple of times and Caudecus Mansion Explorable Path 2 once. 

I am most interested in:

• Level 1 Fractals, and higher levels as I level up.
• Explorable Ascalonian Catacombs, Caudecus Mansion and Twilight Arbor.
• Story Mode Sorrow's Embrace, and later dungeons as I complete story mode in earlier dungeons.

I may be interested in other dungeons also though so please don't hesitate to check in with me if you need someone.

I am in "Funny i" and Na Anu guilds, my Guardian is called Vynn Mystborn (and all my characters share that same last name.  My RC nick is "[GSCH] Pete", my GW2 account name is Kaptain O.1348 and I am most often on from 6pm-9pm server time, although Mondays and Thursdays I'm usually on 3pm-9pm server time and weekends vary.

I'd take you even without the pretty gear lol Its just a very busy time of year for a lot of us is all, finals at university are eating my time up this week personally, though next week I'll have time to run stuff. I love running dungeons and mosty run ac/cm atm though I've got to run the rest more in the future. I'm also at lvl 3 on fractals and gonna work on that, just terribly busy atm :)

I have heard a lot of dungeon runs get organized on RC. Maybe just stop in the lobby and see what you can get going. I am not into the dungeons right now, just thought I would throw that out there.

I'm in the lobby almost all the time that I am online playing GW2 and I have noticed groups forming there and I actually got into an AC Explorable 2 group that way. I wasn't posting complaining that I'm not getting enough dungeon runs and I hope it didn't come off that way! I was just kinda getting my name out there so that the people who run them might think of me next time they need a spot filled.

I usually form groups out of guild chat (gaisioch with the funny i first then anu, mostly because that's the one that people know me best from currently), then hit up raid call 1101 pve lobby and ask people if they want to go as well if I still need more, works pretty good. You just have to figure out what you want to do first then invite people, that way they can quickly decide if they want to go, rather than ask if they want to do a dungeon, tell them your gonna do fractals and need x many more, or AC or CM etc.. generally works pretty good in my experience :)

This Thread seems useful, maybe people interested in fractals can all post some info here. Why would you want me in your party? Well here is some info about me: - DPS Thief, good for stealth running through key points, pulling mobs in for focus fire - I've already got the dungeon master title (Completing all 33 paths from AC to Arah) - I love pugging , meaning I can play with anyone - I have nothing against new dungeon crawlers that wants to learn, I am ready to share what I know I am most interested in: - Even number fractals that I haven't done during that day, so 2,4,6,8,10,12,14,16...etc (I don't like doing any odd number fractals below my current level because you get 75% less tokens on odd number runs, which to me is HUGE.) I suggest anyone who need help with fractals to ask for them at even fractal levels too, because that's your opportunity to benefit anyone that is helping you by letting them have more tokens despite doing a series that won't gain them significant progress, I consider this as fractal etiquette of some sort ~.~ Same with having RC available, its not the greatest experience to have to teach dungeon runs without everyone having RC access. Fractals can also take over an hour now and then (especially if you are new), so have that in mind as the amount of time you may need to invest, and maybe imagine yourself needing 10 silver as repair fees so you won't feel bummed out about dying.

Having Anu really makes it easier to find groups for dungeons/fractals. If I am looking to join a group, but have nothing specific in mind, I will represent Anu and listen in. If I am forming a group for a specific purpose, I post in my home guild (funny i) and Anu. If I get a member from normal i, and we need more people, I will ask them to post in the other guild chat. Also, I have never had anyone in the family ask about gear or levels (other than the game-required minimums) when joining a group. I have never been in a group where someone has been rude or impatient. I have never heard anyone treat others badly for not knowing how to do a particular dungeon or for making a stupid mistake. This is really a great place to be.

Nice post, but I can sum up your question "Why would you want me in your party?" in just 5 words: You wear a GSCH tag. I agree with Wonderloss's post. Hopefully, once most folks realize that they should switch to Anu if they want to LFG or LFM for PVE, it will be easier to hook up the "normal I" and "funny I" rooms for dungeoning and fractals.

Pete, I think I added you already, but I'll make sure you're on there when I get home. If I'm online, I'm either in a dungeon, or looking to be in one, so I'll be hitting you up for sure. On a side note, I don't have access to the Anu guild, how do I go about getting that?

You need to be Lorgair rank or higher and you need to go into your profile and select your playstyle to be PvE. You should get an invite in game, I think the timeframe is within 24 hours but I could be wrong. Also, you need to log into the Gaiscioch website more frequently than you need to to stay in the regular or "funny i" guilds. They have a 45 day inactivity window while Na Anu (and Na Rall) have a 14 day inactivity window before you get the boot, although apparently as soon as you log back in you are requeued for an invite. I got to try out AC Exp with the fiery sceptres and the Howler King last night (I think path 1?), it went fairly well. Tonight if I make it on it will be to do map completion with Prissy but I'm totally down for fractal/dungeon stuff Thursday night (3pm-9pm servertime)

Now that I have finished all the story modes, I will be looking to try out explorable. I know it does not have to be done that way, but that was the goal I set for myself. I have generally stayed away from dungeons in my previous MMO experiences, but I have really been enjoying them in GW2 so far. Ralcore, do you use Raidcall? That is a great way to partner up with family members in different branches.

Yeah I use Raidcall, and I'm usually on there if I am on GW2...my problem is mostly just being Eastern, hard to find people on until I'm getting ready to go to bed. I meet all the criteria for being in Anu, I just never got an invite...I think it has to do with the limitations regarding having multiple invites out at a time. I'll see if I can request a new invite on the main page somehow, thanks!

Yea, they hit a hard limit on # of pending Invites. Sadly, I think that a lot of the pending Invites aren't even playing anymore. It should be getting close to the 14 day inactivity period for Anu/Rall rooms, but I'm not sure if they can track that for the Invites or just the Members. Everyone needs to press "G", look at the bottom of the LEFT side panel and see if they have any pending Guild Invites, and either Accept or Decline, so that the Elders can get more invites sent out.
