Hunt HoT Closed Beta access, in-game!

So, I'm running a one-time Portal Hunt event Tuesday afternoon in the Silverwastes.  Join us as we kill everything with our fingers crossed, until our eye cross.  Wear your lucky socks!

Heads up!  We might take this to Dry Top instead, since all mobs drop loot there.  Only a fraction of the mobs in the Silverwastes drop loot.

So what, just basically KOS everything and anything attackable in Drytop? 

Interesting promo... I kinda wonder why they went with this.  o.O

We ran for 4 hours yesterday in the Silverwastes, and during that time we heard from 2 people who got portals from event chests (the ones over your mini map).  We also got a confirmation from a dev that they can drop from any mob in Silverwastes or the Dry Top.

Just very, very rare!

They may have went with this to try to ensure active players are getting the betas instead of randomly sending out an email from their player list.

Today's update increased the drop rate for the Portal. :D
