3 Envelope Roast

3 pound beef roast such as chuck roast
1 envelope of dry Italian salad dressing mix
1 envelope of dry ranch salad dressing mix
1 envelope of dry brown gravy mix
2 cups water
(If you want to make your own mixes those are posted on my timeline as well, it will lower the sodium a lot)
Instructions :
Put the water in a measuring cup that is larger then the amount of water you are using. Now add and mix all three envelopes of dry salad dressings to the water. Mix until blended completely.
Brown the roast (if desired). Add the meat to your cooker. Pour the water, salad dressing mixture over the roast. In the slow cooker cook it on high for about 4 hours on low about 8 hours.

With mine I place roast in crock pot add brown gravy mix and ranch dressing mix. One stick of butter on top and cook. Makes it own gravy. The butter is the trick. So good.

I've made this before and it's very good!  I love crockpot recipes and can't wait to try your alternative version.  Thanks for posting!

Yummy! I have to try this out!

I often put a chuck roast in the crockpot with an envelope of the Lipton onion soup mix (generic equivalent works just as well), a 1 pound bag of peeled baby carrots, and some cut up potatoes. I cook mine on low for a good 8 to 10 hours.
