As you all know, Connor has bestowed the leader title on me this week. I did not find rainbows or kittens or exciting things hidden in the leader controls, just some boring rank allocations and the option to change faction...
In terms of Echoes leadership, we have been running things by committee for some time now. You should expect to see us continue with the same philosophy and no real change in how we do things. Each officer has a vote at the discussion table, and has a say in any important decisions made. I have always preferred the democratic approach, to promote a team effort rather than just one person calling the shots. Our "Laws to Live By" still stand, and will be our guide as we move forward into the first expansion.
From my perspective, I have a different style to the "big personality" leadership you may have come to expect from GSCH, and Connor in Echoes. That is just not my style. I won't be in rc 24/7 shooting the breeze, although if you need to talk I am happy to jump in a channel and discuss whatever is important to you as a player.
I am the planner and organiser type who focuses on attention to detail, and prefers written communication. I am also a highly trained pessimist...I will look for the 50 things that may go wrong in a situation, and guard the FC against them as best I can. I am the shield wall rather than the sword! That sometimes may darken my optimism, so I always try to seek advice from the groundbreaking ideas people as a balance for my cautious-ness!
My job and a difficult and time-consumining education keep me busy most hours of the day. That makes me often short for time, but after exams (which go on for the next 2 weeks) I will be on my summer (easier) schedule and have a lot more time to play and hang out in game. However, I always schedule in time for the FC and have never missed a meeting, and manage to log in most days. Fri/Sat after 5pst are my main even ttimes, for raids.
Not that I am trying to put you off, just admitting my flaws and explaining that this is something I am doing in a time of need, not as my ideal solution! I usually prefer to assist leaders rather than lead myself! (You get far more work done for the FC that way, while they are off entertaining the crowds....mwahahahaha!!!)

Echoes is thriving, you have all been fantastic guildies to FC with, let's keep things working as intended :)
