Creating your character on Excalibur early on is strongly recommended, in case servers fill up due to the increased popularity of the game over the past few months. We don't want anyone to risk being locked out of our new home.

We understand that due to the time, many of you will have real life commitments and will not be able to make it. We totally understand, and look forward to seeing you when it is convenient for you :)

Not sure how my weekend time is going to be - have family coming, just don't know the fully schedule of things.  All depends on when the sister-in-law is showing up and if the step son can get away to come down too.  Hopefully he can so we can have the granddaughter running around.

I have a problem with these parties.

You keep spelling PAJAMAS wrong.

Is that some sort of weird Southern Hemisphere spelling or what??????!?!?!?!

Lol it is actually the original and correct spelling as the word came from the British Raj in India. Then the Americans changed the spelling later on (as they sometimes do).  I live in NZ where we use English spelling. If you look it up online the dictionary will put you right ;) Bam!

Oh the fun of fighting against the world when our language differs from that of the American dictionary :P Oh mysterious U that we slot into words that the dictionaries don't normally believe should be there ;)

Pajamas in US English,  pyjamas in British English.  Sort of like Armor and Armour right?

Totally understand if you don't make it as it is so late for USA people. We only have the release events so late because of Square's timing. Most other things in the future will be at pacific times :)

We are pleased to announce that Early Access for FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn will begin on Saturday, August 24, 2013 at 2:00 a.m. (PDT)!

* Participants of Early Access are eligible to play straight into official service, which will begin on Tuesday, August 27, 2013.
* Those who have either registered a pre-order code or fulfilled the requirements for Legacy status are eligible to participate in Early Access.

* The game client from Beta Test phase 4 (open beta test) can also be used as the game client for Early Access. You do not need to uninstall the Beta Test phase 4 client and install anything else.

My new computer won't come until tomorrow, so I'll be missing the PJ thing tonight. Hopefully I will roll out tomorrow sometime though. I'm excited for this game.

Yes, FFXIV rooms are under the GW2 rooms in 1101.
