These results will of course vary, but all in all, the minimum requirements aren't all that difficult to reach, if your machine is lacking, the game is still entirely playable on the lowest setting's and will still provide a fairly decent visual experience as well. Those looking to min/max will need to ensure you at least i5+ and Nividia 560TI or AMD Equivalent + to get a solid experience of 30-60 FPS constant at 1080 on max.

The site was posted on reddit and shortly after crashed out due to the immense amount of traffic flowing to it. The owner stated he should have it back up soon.

My card scored at 2500 for 1920x1200...sigh

We should all (hopefully) see a substantial bump in our cards' scores once the next benchmark is available.

I know my score was a bit disappointing in the last benchmark, due mostly to there being no fullscreen option, or SLI/Crossfire support.

The Beta Phase 3 client performed much better than the benchmark, at least (yay for devs putting in work!).

Can't wait to see what client optimizations, and a matured set of video drivers from AMD & Nvidia can do for us in a month or two (or 6).

Then we get to have this fun again when DirectX11 support is patched in, woo!

Hmm, just realized I never tried that benchmark from March 14. Something to do before the new one is released!

My system is scoring around 8k so I'm good! Hey maybe optimizations will make it even sweeter.

**Disabled my second card and gained 132 on the score...silly negative scaling.

I never have liked SLI/Crossfire. Always causes more problems than its worth. I just dump my money into a killer single card.

I just ran it again at maximum 1920x1080 and it only hit 5300 so maybe something changed or the last time I ran it was on the default medium settings. Either way, I think I'm good to go.

Interesting to note that dropping all the shadow settings down one notch from maximum only raises the benchmark by about 100 points yet changes framerate by a whopping 15 fps. Not sure the benchmark is all that useful considering that glaring difference.

Looks like a score of 5k will get you a low/average fps of 30/35 on maximum settings. So if you are good with 30 fps, shoot for the 5k mark. Game still looks excellent with lower settings though, so don't be afraid to drop em for a better framerate.

Ya, it's hard to gauge its usefulness beyond being a "minimum req check"...and a way to sneak back into Eorzea for a few minutes. :)

Did you notice that massive adamantoise in the Shroud scene, just towering over everything else in the background? That thing dwarfs the Behemoth King and Titan!

Dropping a check on all the LOD options (which is how I would likely run the game anyways), and turning off in-game AA (I force SMAA through my drivers instead), bumps it up another 442 points for me.

After comparing the log files it generated, those changes only yielded a gain of about 3 fps though (from 40 to 43 avg). Yet, when playing the last beta I was able to get some limited Crossfire support going,

and enjoyed 60fps locked (vsync) in almost every instance when I checked FRAPS, with the occasional drops to 54-55fps during extremely taxing scenes. I believe RadeonPro/FRAPS was reporting an avg. FPS of 58 on the

last day we ran a dungeon marathon on Diabolos too. That's a substantial difference from these benchmark results. "Results may vary" indeed!

Also, there's been some recent, possibly good/great news for those of you in the Nvidia camp. Quite a few players reporting some gains in that thread. :D

So I picked medium settings then checked "on" everything but limb darkening, bumped grass to normal and I'm holding 55 fps avg during combat scenes and well over 8000 score every time. And I can see no discernible difference in graphics quality between that and maximum settings.

Screen Space Ambient Occlusion and texture details (obviously), along with grass quality seem to be the bigguns for fps drops and also do relatively little to overall graphics quality.

More testing shows you definitely want to dump money into your CPU rather than GPU again. Someday these developers will learn to offload processing to these badass video cards we have. So you are better off spending money on an i7-3770k over an i5 versus getting a $500 or a second video card.

Wish I knew more about upgrading my processor / motherboard...its not as easy as slapping a new graphics card in =(

It's not too hard though. Just find yourself a nice static free working area, take everything out of the tower, remove the motherboard by taking out the 9 screws holding it down (usually 9), and reverse the process to put in the new stuff. Just be extra careful dropping the cpu into the slot and use a dime-sized gob of high quality thermal paste between it and the fan.

Sounds harder than it really ends up being. Being careful is key.
