Awhile back, my night vision got bad enough that I couldn't drive at night anymore, and that put a real damper on my job at the time, which was in a town in the next county. I retired from the position. In the meantime, I was working hard on writing as well as looking for a part time optometry position close to home. Well, I found a position only 2 miles from home that was part time, and so I joined Pearle. Then, I ended up working with a medical device/writing company in Europe editing journal articles for publication, and last week, they offered me a contract to work from home 2 days a week. I've been putting a lot of time into writing, so I have had a LOT less time for gaming. While I enjoy gaming, getting paid and taking care of the family has been the priority. With our own student loan debt and our son about to go to college in another year, I'm feeling a lot of pressure to get work done and get the money.
Plus, we have a giant garden again this year. 32 tomato plants, 10 peppers, broccoli, peas, strawberries, herbs, flowers, turnips, beets, onions, garlic, beans, you name it! :)
So, the news is good, but I'm crazy busy!
