Texas, upheaval, & happy to be GSCH

Hi Guys, I haven't been very active in recent weeks because it has been a very busy time moving from Mississippi to San Antonio Texas. I am feeling a little lost and lonely in this new big city.

Having to leave behind my job, my friends and my home and start new every couple of years is hard and it is lovely to have you all as my family, it is a big comfort to read this forum even when I can't actually play the games. My husband is military so I have moved a lot over the last 10 years, but it is still a great upheaval every time.

I'll be back playing again soon when things settle down.

Looking forward to your return. And a big heartfelt Thank You to your husband and yourself for serving our country.

Ahhhh SA is a great town , there is a lot to do and see there , the riverwalk is fun and most people enjoy going there . esp west of town in the hill country I`ve been in houston the last 8 years and now i`m back in Corpus christi Texas . my home town ,. Welcome to Texas I`m sure you`ll get used to it soon ... may have a hard time leaving hehe And yes I know how you feel Dad was 20 yrs in the Airforce and we were stationed in SA before plus know all about the moving every couple years it gets easier but still can be hard . I was military as well but only 5 years so not too bad , hope you find your stay here enjoyable and see you in game soon !

If you like Tex Mex food go immediately to Chuys Tex Mex. They have 2 or 3 locations in San Antonio. Order an Elvis Presley Memorial Combo if you're really adventurous. I hope the move proves to be a good one for you!

I am glad you are back :) I have been in San Antonio, TX before, it is a beautiful city. Maybe we could all meet in real life someday when I move to Austin, TX by the end of this year (hopefully). ^_^ GSCH Texas branch??!!

Thank you so much for all of your replies :) It is great to see so many are in Texas! I am really loving San Antonio so far, the houses are very nice here, and big! wow so many lovely houses in good areas. Acadien - we have found a house on the west side, but not so far out, we are just outside of the 1604, but we drove out west a few days ago to see the hills and it is really beautiful out there. I do like Mexican food, so I expect I will like Tex Mex, I will take a look for Chuys Tex Mex, thanks! Austin is lovely, I have visited there once and always wanted to go again. Welcome to Texas! I had to do the same thing with my two daughter about 2 years ago but relocated to northern Texas (just north of Dallas). Although it wasn't for the military. You moved here just in time for the horrid heat!! I am originally from Michigan and still am not use to the summers here. lol I hope you get settled in soon and enjoy the area!
