Happy Birthday Oldroar

So I realize today was Roger's birthday and for those of us that knew him I thought it would be a good day to remember him for who he was. Today he would have been 67 years old. 

I wanted to use this moment to ask all of you to pay attention to those around you. Our friendships and family are precious. Don't let petty thing divide you. These friendships you build in this digital fronteer are not just digital avatars that go away when you log out. They are human beings who feel as strongly about you as you do about them. 

The loss of Oldroar hit us by suprise. He was gone before any of us expected. It came suddenly and many of us still today wish we would have spent more time with him while he was here. Memories of a friend never go away and Oldroar will forever be a part of this family. 

He would have wanted us all to be happy, make friends, and cherish those friendships. Games come and go, but memories are forever.

Recent events in my life have caused me to consider exactly what Fog has stated, "I wanted to use this moment to ask all of you to pay attention to those around you. Our friendships and family are precious." Please take heed to these words because they are quite wise and it seems many of us wish we had acted upon them only after family and friends are taken from us - the action of caring needs to happen every day. I do care for my Gaiscioch family and will never be able to express how much people like Roger affected me in a positive manner. Happy Birthday Roger!

We met only briefly, but I remember his voice so clearly and he always had time to talk . I was very lost in such a big family and a new game, but I was made to feel at home. *salutes* Happy Birthday Oldroar.

My wife's birthday today... Never knew Roger but I hope he rests well. Good birthday to have.

I joined Gaiscioch after Oldroar had passed away so I never got the chance to meet him but from what I've heard from that video and from the posts here it seems you were all privileged to have someone so special in your lives. Happy birthday Oldroar.

I feel sorry for not ever having met him. Wish I had considering the positive impact he had on everyone.

It was his story that inspired me to be a part of this community. His legacy celebrates friendships made in the virtual world. That alone is of tremendous value as I spend time in that world enjoying the company of good people. I am glad Roger shed light upon Gaiscioch so I could see it for what it is. Happy Birthday.
