from the stuff that i've read, you will be skipping the tutorial island altogether by default and just starting in your alliances starter city. For Ebonheart that would mean starting in Davon’s Watch instead of Bleakrock.
They would have had to change alot of the npc dialogs and reorganize those stories. I hope it's not watered down.
I am real excited about how NPC collision will affect combat. This will introduce some nice real nice rank and file tactical gameplay in PVE dungeons/raids.. Have your tank and melee fighters pull mobs to a doorway and let your range and spell classes own them behind that shield wall. Sounds fun :)
I would not skip starter island on my initial character as a) I liked accumulating some wealth/loot early on by exploring everywhere and b) I enjoyed the story lines and seeing the ESO world at my own pace. I never felt that it was too slow - I really feel the urge to explore this game (so far) as I feel rewarded for doing it (chests, quests, NPCs and harvestables).
There have been alot of changes not sure what can be talked about though.
Seems like a lot of people are leaking PTS info on Reddit. The PTS is still covered by NDA.
I'm with Pullo, I think the starter islands are integral to the story. Plus they have skyshards!
Speeding up the initial levels is exactly what they need to be doing. Glad to see Zenimax responding to feedback.
I for one will be pretty depressed if they start listening to the crying screaming "feedback" of the new mentality of gamers to take shortcuts and drum things down. Next they will make travel even easier from all the crying players that just want to teleport around the world , and then they will make death easier to deal with etc etc. I will be perturbed ....
