Greetings all.  I'm looking for some tips/advice/counsel on tanking as a Nightblade.  I know that there are other classes that might do a better job at tanking but right now the only one I have is an VR3 Argonian Nightblade.

My Current Setup is:

5 Heavy / 2 Light with the associated passives. (I went with critical resist as traits though wondering if I should have gone with armor %)

Lover Mundis for Spell Resistance.  Considering switching back to Lord for health but I already have 49 Health attribute now.

1st Bar (1 Hand/Shield) - Ransack, Shielded Assault, Refreshing Path, Swallow Soul & Killer's Blade (solo) or Ring of Preservation (group)

Been using Absorb Magic and Inner Fire recently to see how they work.

2nd  Bar (Bow) DPS - Venom Arrow, Cripple, Reaper's Mark, Focused Aim, Swallow Soul

My difficulty is that I'm melting too fast it seems on VR dungeon bosses.  Specifically I can't seem to lead my group through Banished Cells.  It may be a gear/level issue, but I wanted to make sure it wasn't a skill/loadout issue.

I would appreciate any feedback from those that have tanked VR dungeons and especially if you did it as a NB.

I started a NB in the hopes of making a tank out of her, and find I hav a hard time with it.  even though they have very interesting skills for tanking I find it much more difficult...

so hopefully ppl help out in this thread cuz I really want a NB tank

I think you can do it, I tank with my Sorc all the time (having learned most of the tricks of tanking on my DK). The key really is STA, STA regen and blocking (alot). I don't think you have to commit to heavy either, I have tanked in mostly light as a sorc running a lot of abilities to boost armor. I think a NB could tank 2 heavy and 5 medium with all of the evasion based abilities, might want to make a hist bark tanking set.

Also, I don't know if I would bother with an off hand dps set-up unless you want to quest in your tanking build. If it's for a pure group PVE tanking scenario you might consider S/B in both weapon sets.

I made a build on ESO head I would use on my NB, something like this with room to move things around based on situations. I would go with 5 medium in this build and 2 heavy. The top bar is for grabbing agro and building energy, the bottom bar is for sustaining health and avoiding damage.
