First off my apologies for the length of this wall of text...

I'd like to begin by saying I'm sure most don't remember me but I joined the game during the Warhammer days ( I normally use the names Zardayne, Mardane, or Korgann/Kerros if Dwarven). Truth is I'm not a huge socialite so I tend to lurk a lot in games, doing my own thing, and enjoying listening to everyone else. I've been pretty much doing this since my Ultima Online days. Even though I haven't really contributed much to this guild due to "shyness" I'll admit every time I play elsewhere I come to miss this guild. I guess family is a better word. I've been playing ESO since the beginning on PC but like a fool I decided with some of my friends/coworkers to go to the DC side in hopes of trying to balance the game. I had figured there would be a flood of Ebon heart. After quite a bit of time there I tried to come back to Ebon heart but as a lot of you know, once you start building up your crafting skills, motifs, horse, etc it's tough to begin again.  I ended up going back to DC, found a guild there and tried to stay interested in ESO but failed. I ended up taking another month break and blamed it on the guild there as to my boredom (along with ESO). After doing some soul searching what I thought was MMO burnout is really my fault. I don't try hard enough to be interactive with my guildies. Back in Ultima, Asheron's call, and WoW I ran my own guilds for a short stint but somewhere along the way I quit socializing. Perhaps due to voice comm. I don't know. You know in 2+ years on this game I've only ran 2 dungeons..not that I didn't want to. I'm just not comfortable in grouping. Even with all of my years of MMO xp I'm still scared to screw up or join a group to say oh your build doesn't include such n such skill and get dropped. I thought it was just me but a close friend of mine and fellow AWOL Gaiscioch member said he felt the same. With all of this said I'm going to try and make a return with a better attitude toward  socializing. I'm going to try my best.  Unfortunately without faction transfers I'm returning to a 50 that's going to need some work but just being back and active with you guys seems to make it worth it. In all honesty I don't know why I wrote this other than to shed some light on who I am, where I've been, and the issues that have plagued this older gamer and kept me from really enjoying some of the newer MMOs. I hope to see you all in game soon.

I thought I'd add a little information about myself in closing since I've been away for such a long time. I'm a 43 year old safety manager of a pressure vessel manufacturer here in SE Texas. As I said above, I'm an older MMO games that began the second day of Ultima Online and played just about all of them since and also an old D&D pen and paper player and DM. Normally in games I play the druid or as close to a nature class as possible. Use of a spear or polearm is a plus!  I prefer being a support or healing class over DPS. Every year I dress up for Texas Renfest as my take on a fantasy druid/warden/ranger. In my opinion there is no better time of year than Renfest (Oct-Nov here). I'll include a picture :). Other than that I'm metalhead and I'm constantly on the hunt for new tunes.

Welcome back to the Family :)  That's some pretty awesome pictures - I especially like the vials and bracers.

You don't have to be social all the time.  I personally enjoy some immersion play sessions where I avoid voice comm and chat.  I'm 44 myself, and some nights after a long day of work I immerse to settle down and refocus.

Play how you want, when you want for as long as you want...always.

You picked a great time to be active in ESO/GSCH, One Tamriel lets you hang with the gang regardless of faction.  Lots of us are "less social" as it were, but just hanging out in the main ESO Discord channel you get some fun (funny) interactions and pick-up events.  Look forward to seeing you in game and getting to know you better.

I wholeheartedly agree with Twilah's play how/when/what you want statement, there's always a place for everyone.  If you choose to push toward "end game" type Raids etc., there is a lot of group knowledge and help for builds and equipment.

To help you and your friend feel more at place next week durong the Adventures in Tamriel im gonna run around without armor and we can go be awesome together in our skivvies. Thats what I think of needing the right gear! If you want to be the naked tank mage then be the best naked tank mage that ever was and lets have some fun doing it!

With One Tamriel it doesnt matter what faction you are. Come out and play. All sides can play together now. Faction only matters in ava.

Thanks everyone and I appreciate the compliments on my outfit Twilah.  The main reason I would break out my old 50 is just so I could AVA some with you guys. It's just tough walking away from a character that's a lot farther along. True, with One Tamriel  we can definitely do all the pve together now. I just need to get over my dungeon shyness and dive right in. Only way I'm going to try them out.  I guess now it boils down to if ava  is worth making the switch...something to think about for sure. Unfortunately Azakron (friend) moved back to EVE for a bit. I'm sure he'll be back at some point.
