Addons

I need some recommendations for game addons please. Immediately I am looking for a way to keep track of my experience and leveling up, but I would also like a mini map if it is available.

I am just starting out and I think that I have a handle on the basics. I needed to play around a lot to get used to the differences in fighting, moving, interacting, looting and ect.. from Guild Wars 2.

I did pop into to RC to ask questions and everyone was very nice, but most of what was said went right over my head. I am going to play around some more this weekend before I come ask again, and I hope to better understand the answers by then.

FTC (Foundry Tactical Combat) -> for all your hp/stam/magika/damage needs

Wykkids Gaming Suite -> Toolbar is the one you would be most interested in. Gives a bar above the compass that displays exp, time, level and a million other things if you want them displayed =p Personally I'm a huge fan of the outfitter and quest tracker

FTC, Wykkyd, and Fraynkin minimap are a great start.  For easy addon installation and updating, you really should use the addon manager, minion

You can also use this to easily search for various addons and see what are the most popular ones.  Also, if you have some niche addon you are trying to find, simply google "ESOUI hide helmet addon" or whatever it is you are specifically looking for.  Often it is easier to find it that way, then once you know the name of the addon you can easily install it via minion.

Oh, and one other addon I'd recommend is Srendarr buff tracker.  FTC will also track buffs, but I think Srendarr does a better job at it and has a bit more customization.  Shout in in RC or guild chat if you ever need help!

Think I'd include Inventory Grid View (makes looking at you stuff much easier), and Slightly Improved Experience Bar (XP tracking).  If it's from Garkin or Wykkids it's probably a good add-on and is kept up to date.

Be sure to the mail box "bouncer" in Wykkid's suite.

Make sure you download Minion, as it will help you discover addons that suits you and also keep up with the numerous updates:).

Also, when in game, don't hesitate to whisper any of us.  Sometimes a one on one talk/time to go over things in theory and in practice is quite helpful and fun:) (especially putting in practice lol).

Just like I am slowly getting the hang on GW2, you will get the hang of ESO:).  Two completely different games but both very awesome!
